In Italy the band also plays on February 20 at Hall in Padua and on the 23rd at Alcatraz in Milan. The ticket is general admission standing: €30 plus presale, that is €34.50, plus the circuit's fees, on sale on the presale circuit authorized by the organizer Barley Arts. Since their first single in 2019, Dirty Honey have become one of the most followed names in new American rock. Catch My Butterfly: the new Dirty Honey album
Catch My Butterfly is Dirty Honey's third studio album, produced by John Feldmann and announced with the singles Lights Out and Butterfly. The 2027 European tour takes its name from the first of these two songs.
A new chapter
The organizer's announcement presents it as the band's most dynamic and daring record, an evolution of the sound that widens horizons without losing energy, authenticity and the rough attitude that marked their rise.
The release date
The album is expected on January 27, 2027. The Rome concert therefore comes less than a month after its release, when the new songs are still fresh for the audience too.
The producer
John Feldmann is the name chosen for this third chapter, after the previous records built with Nick DiDia. In our view the change of producer is the detail to listen to most closely, to understand where the band wants to take its sound.
The story of Dirty Honey
Dirty Honey are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2017: the singer Marc LaBelle, the guitarist John Notto, the bassist Justin Smolian and, since 2023, the drummer Jaydon Bean.
The origins
John Notto had moved to Los Angeles dreaming of repeating the success of Guns N' Roses. He met Marc LaBelle while playing with Ground Zero, a band of covers and original songs. Together they decided to found a band of their own with the bassist Justin Smolian. With the drummer Corey Coverstone they first took the name The Shags, then the final one.
The name
LaBelle chose the name after hearing Robert Plant talk about his Honeydrippers in a radio interview with Howard Stern. It struck him as a dirty rock and roll name, and from there came Dirty Honey.
The first official concert
The band became official in 2017, after the second concert, played on the sidewalk of Sunset Boulevard in front of about 100 people. Two years later they were opening for Guns N' Roses in Las Vegas.
When I'm Gone
The debut EP, recorded in Australia with the producer Nick DiDia, came out self-released on March 22, 2019. Eight hours later, friends and relatives were calling the musicians to say that their music was on the radio. When I'm Gone reached number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart: the first time for an unsigned band.
The albums
The debut album, Dirty Honey, was supposed to be recorded in Australia in March 2020. The pandemic moved it to Henson Studios in Hollywood, with DiDia connected remotely. It came out on April 23, 2021. The second, Can't Find The Brakes, from November 3, 2023, went straight to number two on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart. In 2025 the live album Mayhem and Revelry came out.
Dirty Honey live
Dirty Honey are first of all a stage band: headliners of many sold-out concerts and opening band for names like Guns N' Roses, KISS, The Who, The Black Crowes and Slash, according to the announcement and biographical sources.
With the greats of rock
In 2018 and 2019 they open Slash's concerts. On May 7, 2019 those of The Who in Grand Rapids. In November 2019 two Guns N' Roses dates in Las Vegas. In 2021 they tour with The Black Crowes, in 2022 in Europe with Guns N' Roses, Kiss and Rival Sons.
The festivals
The band has played Louder Than Life, Download, BST Hyde Park, Sweden Rock, Graspop, Hellfest and Rock For The People, and in Italy Firenze Rocks.
Headliners in Europe
The first European headline tour started on January 21, 2023 in Norwich, England. It was also the first concert with the new drummer Jaydon Bean.
A classic sound
Theirs is a rock of guitars, powerful voice and blues groove, which the American press links to the era of the rock gods of the 1970s, reread with today's eyes. At Largo, in a club hall, this sound arrives unfiltered.
Dirty Honey in Italy: the 2027 tour
In 2027 Dirty Honey return to Italy in February with three concerts organized by Barley Arts, within the Lights Out EU/UK Tour '27 that brings the new album to European stages.
Padua, Rome, Milan
The Italian leg begins on Saturday, February 20 at Hall in Padua, with a start at 20:00, continues on Sunday, February 21 at Largo Venue in Rome at 20:30 and closes on Tuesday, February 23 at Alcatraz in Milan at 20:30. In all three cities the ticket is general admission standing, at €30 plus presale.
A return
Barley Arts presents the tour as a return: the band has already played in Italy, among other places on the stage of Firenze Rocks, one of the most important rock festivals in the country.
The presale
Tickets were opened early to subscribers of the band's newsletter on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 and have been on sale to the public since 11:00 on Friday, September 25 on the authorized presale circuit.
The official radio
Virgin Radio is the official radio of Dirty Honey's Italian concerts, according to the organizer's announcement.
The Dirty Honey lineup
The current Dirty Honey lineup is made up of Marc LaBelle on vocals, John Notto on guitar, Justin Smolian on bass and Jaydon Bean on drums.
Marc LaBelle
Voice and author of the first songs, formerly the singer of Ground Zero. He is the one who gave the band its name.
John Notto
The guitarist who came to Los Angeles on the trail of Guns N' Roses, founder of the band together with LaBelle.
Justin Smolian
The bassist recruited by Notto from Ground Zero, in the band since its foundation.
Jaydon Bean
The drummer who joined in 2023, replacing Corey Coverstone, who left the band explaining that he did not like long tours.
Dirty Honey songs to know before the concert
To arrive prepared for the Dirty Honey concert, it is best to know at least the songs that marked their history, from the 2019 EP to the singles of the new album.
When I'm Gone
The 2019 song that took them to number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart without a record contract. It is the song the audience is waiting for most.
Heartbreaker
From the debut EP. In January 2023 the band released a new, reworked version of it. The original video had been canceled by the pandemic.
Songs from Can't Find The Brakes
The second album, from November 2023, which entered straight at number two on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart. It is the most recent studio record before Catch My Butterfly.
Lights Out and Butterfly
The two singles that announced Catch My Butterfly. The first gives its name to the 2027 European tour: hard to imagine a Rome setlist without it.
Let's Go Crazy
The Prince cover recorded in 2022. It may not make the setlist, but it says a lot about the band's taste for rock with groove.
How to organize the Dirty Honey Sunday night
With the start at 20:30 on a Sunday, the Dirty Honey evening is organized around an early dinner in Pigneto and a return planned in advance.
From the center
If you are in the center, take metro A to San Giovanni and change to C to Pigneto. It is the simplest route also for those staying near Termini, from where you get there in a few minutes by surface transport or taxi.
From outside Rome
Those arriving by car enter the city from Via Prenestina or Via Casilina. On Sunday night traffic is lighter, but parking in the surrounding streets has to be sought with patience.
The Monday after
The concert ends on Sunday night. For anyone working on Monday, in our view, it is best to book the taxi home already during the encore, before the crowd at the exit.
A weekend of music
On Friday, February 19 Teatro Parioli Costanzo hosts a tribute to Fabrizio De André, and on Saturday the 20th Auditorium Parco della Musica hosts the Brazilian music of Dominguinho. With Dirty Honey on Sunday, that makes three evenings of live music very different from one another.
A curiosity about Dirty Honey at Largo Venue, February 21, 2027
The best curiosity is about the name. Marc LaBelle found it while listening to Robert Plant, the singer of Led Zeppelin, who in an interview with Howard Stern recalled his Honeydrippers. To LaBelle it seemed the perfect name for a rock and roll band, as long as he made it a bit dirty. From there, Dirty Honey. For a band that critics often compare to the greats of 1970s rock, it is a declared homage right from the birth certificate.
The second curiosity is the speed of the debut. The 2019 EP came out self-released on March 22. Eight hours later, according to the band's story, the musicians were getting messages from friends and relatives who had heard them on the radio. A little over a month later they were opening a concert for The Who.
The third is about American sports. On January 1, 2022 the band released a cover of Prince's Let's Go Crazy, performed for the NHL's 2022 Winter Classic, the North American ice hockey league.
Largo Venue, the concert venue
Largo Venue is a live music club carved out of a former industrial shed at Via Biordo Michelotti 2, between Pigneto and Via Prenestina, presented by the Rome municipality's tourism portal as an urban regeneration project.
A shed given back to the city
The neighborhood portal describes Largo Venue as a space rescued from decay and recovered with greenery, creativity and culture. Where there was a production building there is now a hall built for live music.
The spaces
Largo is made up of several areas: the Sala Main, the Garden, that is the outdoor area in the greenery, the Rumah room and the O'Bistrot, the refreshment point. It is a multipurpose space that alternates concerts, DJ sets and cinema.
Contacts
The venue answers at 06 59875966 and at info@largovenue.com.
The standing concert
For Dirty Honey the ticket is general admission standing: no numbered seats, and your position in the hall depends on your arrival time. For a rock concert, in our view, it is the most coherent format: the audience close to the stage is part of the show.
Largo's program
Largo's page for the evening presents Dirty Honey ready to bring their modern rock and roll to Italy, on the European tour for Catch My Butterfly. In the same weeks the venue's calendar alternates concerts, DJ set nights such as Latte Fresco and Back To The Disco and special events: Largo is one of the places of the Roman night east of the center.
Before the doors
The doors opening time is not given in the announcement. It is best to check it on Largo's event page in the days before, especially for those aiming for the front rows.
Something nobody tells you about Dirty Honey at Largo Venue, February 21, 2027
What is rarely said is that Dirty Honey, in Italy, are a club band because of the calendar more than because of size. At the big rock festivals they play to vast crowds, often before legendary bands. In a club like Largo, with general admission standing, the Roman audience has them a few meters away. In our view it is the best situation for listening to a rock made of voice and guitar.
The second thing is about the record's calendar. Catch My Butterfly is expected at the end of January 2027: on February 21 many new songs will have been out for only a few weeks. Anyone who wants to sing along has to listen to them right away.
The third is practical. The concert is on a Sunday night and starts at 20:30: the time of the last metro C train should be checked on the ATAC website before going out. For the ride home it is best to have a plan B.
How to get to Largo Venue for Dirty Honey
Largo Venue is at Via Biordo Michelotti 2, near Largo Preneste, in the eastern quadrant of the city, Municipio V. The nearest metro C stops are Pigneto and Malatesta.
By metro
The Rome tourism portal gives the Pigneto and Malatesta stops of line C as the reference. From the center you take metro A to San Giovanni and change to C. On Sunday night the time of the last train should be checked before going out.
By bus
The area is served by several surface lines along Via Prenestina, by day and by night. To choose the best route from your own neighborhood, and for the night lines for the ride home, use ATAC's route planner.
By car
You arrive by car from Via Prenestina or Via Casilina. On Sunday night parking in the residential streets of Pigneto is less difficult than on Saturday, but it remains a dense neighborhood: better to leave with time to spare.
By taxi
Rome's radio taxi service answers at 060609. For the ride home, it's best to book a few minutes before the exit, when hundreds of people leave the club together.
My advice for seeing Dirty Honey at Largo Venue: February 21, 2027
The advice is to arrive early. With a single standing area, the front rows are won when the doors open. If you want to see John Notto's guitar and Marc LaBelle's voice up close, you need to be at Largo well ahead of time.
The second piece of advice is about listening. Besides the new Catch My Butterfly, it's worth going back over the 2019 EP with When I'm Gone and the album Can't Find The Brakes. Those are the songs the audience knows best.
The third is about getting home. On Sunday night, after 23:00, public transport thins out. Arranging a taxi, a ride or a night line beforehand keeps you from being stranded in Pigneto.
Last piece of advice: musician's earplugs. In a club the rock volume is full, and anyone with sensitive ears will notice the next day.
Another well-known fact, yet rarely mentioned
It's well known that Dirty Honey was the first unsigned band to take a song to the top of Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. Much less often mentioned is who helped them get there: Mark DiDia, a friend of the band and a Columbia Records veteran, who after hearing When I'm Gone became their manager and got them their first opening slots for Slash, in 2018 and 2019.
A second rarely cited fact concerns the pandemic. The first album was supposed to be made in Australia, where the band had recorded the EP. The 2020 flight restrictions forced them to record it in Hollywood, with the producer connected remotely, and canceled the video already planned for Heartbreaker.
The third concerns critical recognition. Loudwire ranked the album Dirty Honey 30th among the best rock and metal albums of 2021, and in 2020 the band was nominated at the iHeartRadio Music Awards as best new rock and alternative artist.
Pigneto and the area around Largo Venue
Largo Venue is in the Pigneto area, east of Termini station, between Via Prenestina and Via Casilina: a neighborhood of residential streets, bars, trattorias and cultural spaces.
Porta Maggiore
Toward the center you come to Porta Maggiore. Not far away is the Porta Maggiore Underground Basilica, which can be visited by reservation on the scheduled opening days.
San Lorenzo
To the north, beyond the railway, is San Lorenzo with the basilica of San Lorenzo fuori le Mura. A Sunday afternoon walk between the two neighborhoods is a good way to get to the concert.
Toward Via Casilina
Along Via Casilina is the Mausoleum of Sant'Elena. Farther southeast, Aqueducts Park is a good destination for Sunday morning, before a night of rock.
Where to eat before the concert
Largo Venue has its own refreshment point, O'Bistrot, with a menu posted on the venue's website. For many people, dinner happens there before the start.
In Pigneto
If you prefer to sit down at a table, Pigneto has trattorias, pizzerias, osterias, world cuisines and bars, especially on the streets around the Metro C stop. On Sunday night many places are open, but booking is still the safe choice.
A beer before the concert
The neighborhood has plenty of bars where you can wait for the doors to open. Just don't walk into the hall at the last minute if you want a spot near the stage.
The right photo to take at Dirty Honey at Largo Venue: February 21, 2027
The right photo is taken outside, before going in: the entrance of Largo on Via Biordo Michelotti, with the reclaimed industrial shed and the people in line. It tells the story of the place and the evening together, and says a lot about eastern Rome, which turned its factories into clubs.
Inside, if you're near the stage, the photo is Marc LaBelle and John Notto in the same shot, voice and guitar: the founding core of the band. Better to take one good photo during the first song and then keep the phone in your pocket. The people behind you will thank you.
The third is an all-Roman keepsake: the Largo concert poster next to the ticket, at home, at the end of the night.
Accessibility, age and practical tips
For information about accessibility at Largo Venue and routes for people with disabilities, contact the venue at 06 59875966 or at info@largovenue.com before buying.
Age and teenagers
Entry conditions for minors are given by the authorized seller and by the venue. Check them before buying a ticket for a teenager. The concert is in the evening and the audience is mostly adult.
What to bring
An ID, the digital ticket on a charged phone, earplugs, and a jacket for the February evening, to leave at the coat check if available.
Some important events that happened here in history
The story of Largo Venue is a story of urban recovery. In an area of the city made up for decades of sheds, warehouses and workshops, an industrial building was reopened as a place of culture, with a hall for live music, a garden, a refreshment point and a calendar that alternates concerts, DJ sets and cinema. The neighborhood's portal describes it as a space wrested from decay.
The story of the band playing there on February 21 has precise dates instead. 2017 is the year it was founded in Los Angeles, with the sidewalk show on Sunset Boulevard. On March 22, 2019 the EP came out, with When I'm Gone at number one on the Mainstream Rock chart. On April 23, 2021 the first album came out, and on November 3, 2023 Can't Find The Brakes. On January 21, 2023 the first European headlining tour left from Norwich.
In 2025 the live album Mayhem and Revelry came out, and Catch My Butterfly is expected at the end of January 2027. On February 21, 2027 these two stories meet: a band born on a Los Angeles sidewalk, in a shed given back to the city.
Who has passed through Dirty Honey at Largo Venue: February 21, 2027
Through Largo's Main Room pass international, national and Roman artists, according to the venue's line. In the 2026/27 season the calendar lines up, among others, the English acts Haken and The Chameleons, the Americans The Lemon Twigs, the Argentine La Yegros, Le Vibrazioni and the Roman rapper Leon Faun.
On February 21 it's the turn of Los Angeles rock. With Dirty Honey, the band's whole genealogy symbolically passes across the stage: Robert Plant, from whom the name comes. Slash, Guns N' Roses, the Who, KISS and the Black Crowes, for whom they have opened. Nick DiDia and John Feldmann, the producers. Corey Coverstone, the first drummer. And Prince, whose Let's Go Crazy they recorded.
And the Roman classic rock audience passes through too, the ones who grew up on records from the Seventies and the younger ones who came to Dirty Honey through radio and festivals. At Largo, on a Sunday night, they meet for a standing show.
February in Rome: the time of the concert
In mid-February Rome is in the tourist low season, with cool evenings and uncrowded museums: a good time for anyone coming from out of town for a concert.
The weather
February evenings are cool and sometimes rainy. A waterproof jacket is useful for the wait at the Largo entrance and for the trip home.
Sunday morning
If you come to Rome for the concert, you can spend Sunday morning at Aqueducts Park or on a walk between Porta Maggiore and San Lorenzo, a few minutes from the club.
