Chiara Galiazzo in Rome: date, time, hall and tickets
Chiara Galiazzo's concert is scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2026 at 20:00 in Sala Petrassi, according to the official page of Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, which places it in the Pop/Rock programming of the Fondazione Musica per Roma.
When
Thursday, December 17, 2026, starting at 20:00. It's a single date, a week before Christmas, in a period when the Auditorium alternates concerts of every genre in its halls.
The price
The event page lists tickets starting at 34 euros. The higher tiers depend on the sector and appear on the seat map at the time of purchase.
Where to buy
From the purchase button on the Auditorium's official site you pass to the authorized presale network. The complex's box office, at Viale Pietro de Coubertin 30, is open from October to March from 11:00 to 20:00, including Sundays and holidays. The rules warn that tickets bought on unauthorized platforms may not be valid.
Nuova Luce: the voice, a string quartet and electronics
Nuova Luce is the live project with which Chiara Galiazzo takes her songs into Italian theaters: her voice dialogues with a string quartet and with electronic sounds, in a dress that the presentation calls new, elegant and contemporary.
Classicism and modernity
The idea is to unite two worlds: the acoustic sound of the strings, tied to tradition, and the electronics, which gives the songs a color of today. The presentation speaks of an intense and refined musical experience, able to hold classicism and modernity together.
The wish for the theater
The singer says, in the tour presentation, that she has wished for years to bring her music into theaters, places she feels close to her artistic dimension, and to give a new light to the songs that have followed her over these years. The tour's title comes from here.
The concert
According to the presentation, the concert is designed to bring out the singer's interpretive strength and her path, always balanced between pop immediacy, vocal sensitivity and emotional depth. The exact lineup of the quartet is not published.
The songs in the setlist
The presentation of Nuova Luce cites six titles: Straordinario, Due respiri and Nessun posto è casa mia among the best-loved songs, Valore, Poi io poi te and Basta poco among the most recent. The complete setlist is not published.
Due respiri
It is the first single, released on December 8, 2012 after the X Factor win. Written by Luca Chiaravalli and Saverio Grandi, who set it to music together with Eros Ramazzotti, it debuted at number one on the Italian singles chart and was certified double platinum. It arrives in Rome almost exactly 14 years after its release.
Straordinario
Written by Ermal Meta, it is the song of the 2015 Sanremo Festival, finished in fifth place. It gave its title to the reissue of the second album, Un giorno di sole straordinario, and to the Straordinario Tour that started in April of that year from Teatro Duse in Bologna.
Nessun posto è casa mia
It is the song of the 2017 Sanremo Festival and gives its title to the third album, produced by Mauro Pagani. On the covers night of that Festival the singer performed with Pagani in Diamante by Zucchero.
Valore and the recent singles
Valore, presented on December 9, 2024 and released on January 10, 2025, opens the most recent season. Poi io poi te and Basta poco complete today's repertoire, the one that Nuova Luce sets beside the historic titles.
Who Chiara Galiazzo is: the biography
Chiara Galiazzo is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Padua on August 12, 1986 and raised in Saonara. She reached fame by winning the sixth edition of X Factor in 2012 and has taken part three times in the Sanremo Festival, in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
Studies and first auditions
After high school she moves to Milan to study Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where she graduates in 2012. In 2010 she attends the Centro Professione Musica in Milan. Before success she is rejected twice at the Amici auditions and once by X Factor.
X Factor and Due respiri
In 2012 she returns to the X Factor auditions and enters the Over 25 category led by Morgan. She wins the edition and gets a contract with Sony Music. The first single, Due respiri, goes to number one. The EP of the same name follows close behind.
The debut album Un posto nel mondo
At the 2013 Sanremo Festival she presents L'esperienza dell'amore, signed by Federico Zampaglione, and Il futuro che sarà, by Francesco Bianconi of Baustelle, which finishes eighth. On February 14, 2013 the debut album Un posto nel mondo comes out, second on the chart and gold certified, with songs also signed by Samuel of Subsonica, Dente, Neffa, Fiorella Mannoia and Ermal Meta. With Mannoia she sings Mille passi.
Stardust with Mika
In November 2013 Mika reinterprets Stardust with her. The single debuts at number one and is certified four times platinum. The partnership with Mika returns in the following years, up to the duet of December 2019 at the Mediolanum Forum.
The following albums
In 2014 Un giorno di sole comes out, in 2017 Nessun posto è casa mia, in 2020 Bonsai, preceded by Pioggia viola with J-Ax and by L'ultima canzone del mondo, also written with Mahmood. From December 2017 she presents herself under her full name, Chiara Galiazzo.
The independent years and the return to theaters
Since 2022, after the end of her contract with Sony Music, Chiara Galiazzo has worked as an independent artist, releasing singles with several labels and collaborations, and steadily returning to live work.
Live
The 2022 summer tour started from the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles and touched the Blue Note in Milan, with the jazz singer Sade Mangiaracina. In 2023 she sang with Morgan and Simona Molinari in the theater evening L'altro Battisti, devoted to the songs of Lucio Battisti with lyrics by Pasquale Panella.
With orchestra
In summer 2024 she performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica Gioacchino Rossini of Pesaro at the Symphony Pop Festival in Fano: a direct precedent of the encounter with strings that Nuova Luce now brings to theaters.
The labels
In 2024 she released the single Istanti with the Neapolitan duo I Desideri and Domani with the singer-songwriter and producer Enri. In May 2025 she joined Altafonte Italia, in 2026 she moved to Ballandi Music. 2026 is the year of two tours: Odio l'estate and Nuova Luce.
Chiara Galiazzo live: the tours
Chiara Galiazzo's career is marked by tours: from 2013 to today the singer has taken a different live project around Italy almost every year, from theaters to summer festivals.
From the 2013 theaters
The first, the Un posto nel mondo Tour, had a summer part and a winter one in the theaters of the big cities, Rome included. In the winter part the singer also performed at the Blue Note in Milan with two acoustic concerts on the same evening, both sold out. The Straordinario Tour of 2015 and the Nessun posto è casa mia tour of 2017 followed.
The smallest tour in the world
In 2019, with Pioggia viola, came a project with an ironic name: Il tour più piccolo del mondo, only four stops, from the Teatro della Concordia in Monte Castello di Vibio, one of the smallest theaters in Italy, to Teatro Gerolamo in Milan, with Michele Bravi as guest on the final evening.
The summers and Nuova Luce
Since 2022 the summer tours have followed one another, up to Odio l'estate in 2026. Nuova Luce is the winter project of the same year, and brings the singer back to the theater, the place that the presentation indicates as the closest to her artistic dimension.
How to organize the evening at the Auditorium
An evening with Chiara Galiazzo at the Auditorium is well organized by arriving at least half an hour before 20:00, to pick up any tickets calmly and find the entrance to Sala Petrassi.
Before the concert
The foyer shared by the halls has a bar, a coffee shop and a large bookstore where you can browse records and music books. Those who arrive an hour early can go up on the terrace and take a walk around the lit cavea.
After the concert
Tram 2 takes you back to Piazzale Flaminio, and from there metro A returns toward the center. Those who feel like walking go down Via Flaminia to Piazza del Popolo, with the Christmas lights already on.
A curiosity about Chiara Galiazzo in Nuova Luce at Auditorium Parco della Musica, December 17, 2026
The most Roman curiosity of Chiara Galiazzo's career concerns a night of many years ago. On December 31, 2012, a few days after the X Factor win and with Due respiri just out, the singer took part in the big New Year's concert in Rome alongside Pino Daniele, Mario Biondi and J-Ax. It was her first New Year's Eve as a known artist, and she spent it in front of the Roman audience. The December 17 concert arrives almost 14 years later, two weeks before another New Year's Eve.
The second curiosity concerns her listening. Chiara Galiazzo has declared that she is inspired in particular by Mina, Dalida and Florence and the Machine, and has named Piero Ciampi as her favorite singer-songwriter. With her clean voice of wide range, she was compared at the start of her career to Laura Pausini, Adele and Iva Zanicchi. In 2019 the Premio Lunezia, devoted to the literary value of the song, awarded Nessun posto è casa mia as best album.
The third is a cartoon. In November 2017 the singer recorded Sailor Moon, the anime's theme song, on Cristina D'Avena's duets collection Duets, tutti cantano Cristina. A light detail, which however says how much her voice has entered different worlds.
Sala Petrassi, where Chiara Galiazzo sings
Sala Petrassi is the most intimate of the three large halls of Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, with about 670 seats, inaugurated on April 21, 2002 together with Sala Sinopoli.
The name
The hall carries the name of Goffredo Petrassi, one of the great Italian composers of the 20th century. It's a name that has a particular meaning for a concert with a string quartet.
The sound
The walls are lined with cherry wood, like Teatro Studio. In a hall of this size the strings are heard without excessive amplification, and the voice arrives with its details: the right measure for a project that wants to reread the songs in a chamber key.
A hall for song
In size Petrassi is halfway between the intimacy of Teatro Studio, about 300 seats, and the large stalls of Sala Sinopoli, which counts more than 1,000: big enough for a loyal audience, small enough not to scatter the voice. For a concert that bets on details, it's a coherent choice.
Where to sit
Almost all seats see well. The central stalls give the most balanced listening between voice, strings and electronics. The front rows let you follow the quartet's work up close.
Something nobody tells you about Chiara Galiazzo in Nuova Luce at Auditorium Parco della Musica, December 17, 2026
What few say is that Chiara Galiazzo's songs were born, for the most part, with full pop arrangements, often with a strong electronic component. The first album mixed pop and electronics. The third, Nessun posto è casa mia, moved away from it in favor of more classically pop sounds. Nuova Luce puts the two extremes back together: strings and electronics on the same evening. Those who know the songs from the radio will hear very different versions, and that is exactly the point of the project.
Second thing: December 17 is a weekday Thursday. The concert starts at 20:00, and the Auditorium's rules allow entry up to five minutes before the start. Once the concert has begun the staff may seat latecomers in seats different from those purchased. With the traffic of the last week before the holidays, it's best to leave work with a generous margin.
Third: the Auditorium's halls are separate buildings arranged radially around the cavea. Sala Petrassi has its own entrance. Looking at the signs as soon as you enter the complex avoids pointless detours.
The advice I give you for visiting Chiara Galiazzo in Nuova Luce at Auditorium Parco della Musica, December 17, 2026
The advice is to listen first to the original versions. Due respiri, Straordinario and Nessun posto è casa mia are songs that many know by heart in the radio version. Hearing them the day before and then finding them again with a string quartet lets you fully grasp the rewriting work that Nuova Luce promises. It applies to the recent songs too, Valore, Poi io poi te and Basta poco, less known to the general public.
The second piece of advice concerns the seat. For a concert in which the strings have a central role, in our judgment the central stalls are best, not too close to the stage: from there voice and quartet are heard fused. Those who want to see the singer up close should choose the front side rows.
The third concerns the evening. A concert at 20:00 on Thursday can be fitted with an afternoon walk at MAXXI or in the center. Arriving at the Auditorium around 19:15 leaves time for a coffee in the foyer and a walk around the lit cavea.
How to get to the Auditorium for Chiara Galiazzo
Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone is reached by tram 2, Flaminia/Reni or Apollodoro stops, and by buses 910, 53, 982 and 168. The nearest metro station is Flaminio, on line A.
Metro A and tram 2
From Flaminio station you exit onto Piazzale Flaminio and take tram 2 along Via Flaminia toward Piazza Mancini. From the Flaminia/Reni or Apollodoro stops you reach Viale Pietro de Coubertin on foot, through the Olympic Village.
From Termini
Bus 910 leaves from Piazza dei Cinquecento and arrives at the Auditorium without changes. The 53 connects Piazza Mancini with the center. The 982 and the 168 serve other areas of the city. There is also the Roma Nord railway as far as Piazza Euclide.
By car and the way back
The complex has paid internal parking, with limited spaces. After the concert tram 2 takes you back to Piazzale Flaminio. For evening times it's best to check Atac's route planner first.
Another well-known fact, and yet rarely mentioned
It's well known that Chiara Galiazzo won X Factor in 2012 and that Due respiri went straight to number one. Less often remembered is the road that preceded that victory: two failed auditions at Amici, in 2008 and 2011, and an elimination from the fifth edition of X Factor, the year before her success. In between, a degree in Economics at the Università Cattolica in Milan, earned in 2012 itself. The X Factor winner was, in the same year, a new graduate.
The second little-cited fact concerns her commitment outside music. In 2019 she recorded Magnifico donare, written by Virginio, the soundtrack of a blood donation campaign promoted by UNITED Onlus and AIPaSiM Onlus with AVIS. In 2023 she received a special award from the Italian Red Cross for her commitment to the most vulnerable people.
The third concerns the world. In July 2019 she sang in Tokyo for the event Italia, amore mio!, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, with the accordionist Yasuhiro Kobayashi. In 2022 the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles honored her for promoting the Italian language and culture abroad.
The right photo to take at Chiara Galiazzo in Nuova Luce at Auditorium Parco della Musica, December 17, 2026
In a concert with a string quartet the silences matter as much as the notes, and a lit screen in a 670-seat hall can be seen from far away. The right photo in the hall is just one, without flash, perhaps on the last song, when the audience is on its feet: the singer and the quartet together, in the stage light. Then the phone in your pocket.
The second photo is taken outside. The subject is Renzo Piano's three lead-clad shells, lit in the December evening, seen from the cavea named for Luciano Berio. At 19:00 it's already dark and the halls look like lanterns.
The third is a tribute to the history of the place: from the terrace between the halls you frame the remains of the Roman villa discovered during the works, with the modern halls behind. For a concert that joins classicism and modernity, it's the image that tells it best.
Some important events that happened here in history
Under the Auditorium lie more than 2,000 years of history. During the excavations the remains of a Roman villa of the 3rd century BC emerged, built on the site of an archaic farm of the 6th century BC. The discovery forced Renzo Piano to revise the project, and the finds can be seen today in a small museum under the cavea.
The complex was born to fill a gap. In 1936 the Augusteo, the concert hall built over the Mausoleum of Augustus, had been demolished, and for 60 years Rome had made music without a suitable home. The Auditorium's construction site was long: the contract with the first firm was terminated and a new tender had to be called, with a strong increase in costs.
On April 21, 2002, the birthday of Rome, Sala Sinopoli and Sala Petrassi, where Chiara Galiazzo sings, opened. On December 21, 2002 Sala Santa Cecilia was inaugurated, with the Academy Orchestra conducted by Myung-whun Chung. Since 2003 the complex has been the home of the season of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, since 2006 it hosts the Rome Film Festival, and in 2020 it was named for Ennio Morricone.
Who has passed through Chiara Galiazzo in Nuova Luce at Auditorium Parco della Musica, December 17, 2026
Through the Auditorium have passed, since day one, the greats of music. Myung-whun Chung conducted the inaugural concert of Sala Santa Cecilia. Goffredo Petrassi, who gives his name to the hall of this concert, wanted to be present at the opening of Sala Sinopoli and heard the first performance in the new hall of his Ouverture da concerto of 1931. Luciano Berio, in those years at the head of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, gave his name to the cavea. The Fondazione Musica per Roma has since brought pop, rock, jazz and the singer-songwriter song here.
Through Chiara Galiazzo's career pass many names of Italian and international music: Morgan, who led her at X Factor. Eros Ramazzotti, Luca Chiaravalli and Saverio Grandi for Due respiri. Francesco Bianconi, Federico Zampaglione, Samuel, Dente, Neffa, Fiorella Mannoia and Ermal Meta among the authors. Mika for Stardust. Mauro Pagani, producer of the third album. J-Ax and Mahmood for Bonsai. Ornella Vanoni, with whom she sang Chissà se lo sai in the 2013 tribute to Lucio Dalla. Michele Bravi, Simona Molinari, Cristina D'Avena.
In the same weeks, at the Auditorium, come Chuck Ragan and Ghemon on December 12, Antonio Scurati on the 21st and Max Gazzè with his end-of-year concerts.
The neighborhood around the Auditorium
The Auditorium occupies about 55,000 square meters between Villa Glori, the Olympic Village and the Corso di Francia viaduct: a part of modern Rome, with a lot of greenery and contemporary architecture.
Nearby museums and theaters
A few minutes away is MAXXI, the national museum of 21st-century arts. Toward the Tiber is Teatro Olimpico. The page on Auditorium Parco della Musica gathers the history of the complex and its halls.
The river
The Ponte della Musica, the pedestrian bridge over the Tiber, connects the district to Foro Italico. Farther north is Milvian Bridge, the ancient bridge that has become an evening meeting place.
The center
Tram 2 takes you back to Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza del Popolo, from where you climb toward Villa Borghese and the Pincio.
Where to eat before or after the concert
Inside the Auditorium are a bar and a coffee shop in the foyer and a bar restaurant with street access, handy for those who arrive straight from work.
In the neighborhood
Between the Olympic Village, Via Flaminia and Piazza Mancini you find neighborhood pizzerias and trattorias. To have dinner before a concert at 20:00 it's best to book around 18:30.
After the concert
Ponte Milvio, a few minutes away, has the widest offer for a late dinner. In the week before Christmas many venues are full, and booking is the rule.
Accessibility, age and practical information
The Auditorium is a modern complex, with routes between the halls that are also outdoors. For accessibility needs in Sala Petrassi it's best to write in advance to the Fondazione Musica per Roma, at the address info@musicaperroma.it published on the official site.
Parking
The complex's paid parking has spaces reserved for people with disabilities.
With teenagers
The rules provide that minors under 16 enter with an adult holding a ticket, at a ratio of one adult per two minors. For a girl or boy studying voice or a string instrument, a pop concert with a live quartet is an instructive listen.
A concert a week before Christmas
On December 17 Rome is in the thick of the holidays, with the lights on and the shop windows of the center crowded. For the other events of the season there is the page on Christmas in Rome.
Weather
December evenings are cool and humid, and the stretch between the tram and the halls is outdoors: a coat to leave at the coat check and a folding umbrella.
A gift
A ticket for Nuova Luce, bought in advance, is also a gift idea for those who grew up with Due respiri and Straordinario.
An idea for the day
Those who come from outside Rome can spend the afternoon at MAXXI, a few minutes from the Auditorium, or between Piazza del Popolo, the Tridente and the Pincio, then take tram 2 toward the concert. A December Thursday also lends itself to some Christmas shopping in the center before the music: just keep an eye on the clock and set out by 19:00.

The final advice on Chiara Galiazzo at the Auditorium
A voice the public has known for 14 years, a string quartet, electronics and a 670-seat hall: in our judgment Nuova Luce is the best way to hear Chiara Galiazzo again away from television and radio, with the songs laid bare and then re-dressed. The advice is to buy a central stalls seat early, listen again to Due respiri and Straordinario in the original version and arrive at the Auditorium half an hour early, to enjoy the lit complex in the week before Christmas.
