The event

The text, in Rita Cirio's translation, pits two couples against each other. The astrophysicist Henri and his wife Sonia, a financial lawyer, host Professor Hubert and his wife Inès for an aperitif. Henri is working on an article about dark matter and counts on Hubert's help, but during the evening Hubert reveals that another researcher is about to publish on the same subject, and Henri's frustration erupts.

Grudges and unspoken truths surface and the dinner becomes an emotional battlefield. The structure is the heart of the piece: the same evening is told three times, each from the point of view of a different character. The cast is Ugo Dighero, Mariangeles Torres, Alberto Giusta and Laura Mazzi; lighting by Cesare Agoni, costumes by Bruna Calvaresi.

It is a production of Centro Teatrale Bresciano with ArtistiAssociati Centro di Produzione Teatrale, CMC Nido di Ragno and Fondazione Atlantide Teatro Stabile di Verona. The performance is in Italian.
