Estate Romana is written by the editorial team of Tour Leader Pro: tour leaders, popularizers and professional guides who work every day on the streets of Rome and share one passion, helping people get to know it well.
Who writes the listings
The listings come from what we see on site and from what visitors really ask us.
Every listing is signed the Tour Leader Pro editorial team because it’s teamwork: whoever knows a place best writes it, someone else rereads it and checks the data against official sources.
How we work
- Official sources first. We take hours, prices, closing days and entry rules from the sites of whoever runs the place: ministry, city government, museums, parks, event organizers. When two official sources don’t say the same thing, we say so.
- Experience on site. To the data we add what only people who go there often know: the entrance with the shorter line, the right time of day, what to see right after on foot.
- Updates. Rome changes all the time: events pass, hours change with the seasons. If you find a piece of information that is no longer correct, let us know and we’ll fix it.
- One map for everything. Every place and every event is on a single map, so you can choose what to do based on where you are or where you’re staying.
What you’ll find on Estate Romana
More than 1,000 listings on Rome and the surrounding area: monuments, museums, churches, parks and villas, exhibitions, concerts, shows, ideas for families and day trips within a couple of hours of the city. To get started quickly there are two guides: Rome by Day and Rome by Night.
How the site is kept going
Estate Romana is free. On some listings you’ll find links to buy tickets or experiences on partner sites: if you buy from there we receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
