The official presentation
A tribute to two symbolic figures of 20th-century Italian music: Mauro Bortolotti and Franco Evangelisti, among the founders of Nuova Consonanza. A journey through experimentation, between formal research, compositional rigor and the expressive freedom of improvisation.

The concert remembers two composers born in 1926 and tied to the history of Nuova Consonanza. By Franco Evangelisti (1926-1980) the program includes «Aleatorio» (1959) for string quartet, «Proporzioni» (1958), structures for solo flute, and «Spazio a 5» (1959-61) for four percussion groups, voices and electronic devices.
By Mauro Bortolotti (1926-2007) you'll hear «Nell'impoetico mondo» (1989) for soprano and six instruments, on a text by Edoardo Sanguineti, «Canzon e Finale per Egisto» (1993) for solo flute, «Sonetti licenziosi» (1992) for soprano and six instruments, on verses by Dacia Maraini, and «Contre 2» (1965-67), a vocalise for soprano and instruments.
The performers are soprano Felicita Brusoni, Evo Ensemble, Blow-up Percussion and the PMCE Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble, conducted by Tonino Battista. The Auditorium page warns that the program may change.
