The event

FOROF is a space founded in 2022 by Giovanna Caruso Fendi that brings together archaeology and contemporary art, history and experimentation. The presentation of the experience speaks of a journey in which the extraordinary experience of ancient Rome enters into dialogue with the present.

The archaeological core is the underground rooms: they preserve the only colored marbles of the paving of the Basilica Ulpia and the remains of the eastern apse, from the 2nd century AD. The rooms are managed under an agreement with the Soprintendenza Archeologica di Roma.

Legally, FOROF is an SRL Società Benefit, a form that provides for the reinvestment of revenue in the artistic project.

Where it takes place: FOROF

FOROF is housed in Palazzo del Gallo di Roccagiovine, overlooking Trajan’s Forum, from the 2nd century AD, and right next to Trajan’s Column. See also the pages on Trajan’s Forum, Trajan’s Column and Trajan’s Markets.
