Vincen García at Auditorium: date, time and tickets

Vincen García's concert is a single one, on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at 20:00, in Teatro Studio Borgna, the most intimate hall of Auditorium Parco della Musica, with about 300 seats.

Date and hall

Saturday, March 13, 2027, start at 20:00, Teatro Studio Borgna. The concert is placed in the jazz program. The 20:00 start leaves room to have dinner afterward, unhurried, at Ponte Milvio or in Flaminio.

Price

Auditorium's site lists a price starting from 28.50 euros. On the authorized presale network the concert is sold in single numbered seating, with a maximum of six tickets per purchase. The reseller's service fees are added to the price.

Where to buy

Tickets are bought from the concert page on Auditorium's official site, which links to the presale network authorized by Fondazione Musica per Roma, or at the complex's box office, on Viale Pietro de Coubertin. In a 300-seat hall, tickets for an artist with a young, very active online audience can sell out fast: it's best not to wait for the last weeks.

The address

Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, Viale Pietro de Coubertin 30, 00196 Rome. The complex lies between the Tiber, the Parioli hill and the Olympic Village, in the Flaminio district.

What you'll hear: the funk jazz of Vivace

Vincen García arrives in Rome with the repertoire of Vivace, his second album, released at the start of 2026 and accompanied by a world tour that, according to Auditorium, touches every continent.

Vivace, the second album

Auditorium presents it without hedging as one of the best funk jazz albums of the year. In an interview with the Argentine magazine Indie Hoy, García explained that he composed it almost entirely during the 2025 tour, after two years spent playing the first record live: a funkier work than the previous one, more lively, born from the energy of the concerts and the travels.

A title from a score

The title is no accident. Vivace is a tempo marking in classical music, it means animated, and García chose it for exactly that reason: like an emotional tempo note written at the head of a whole record. Anyone going to Teatro Studio can expect a concert built on rhythm, on grooves and on the dialogue between bass, horns and drums.

Ventura, the debut

The first album, Ventura, released in 2023, took García to the stages of some of the most important jazz festivals in the world: the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, the Pori Jazz Festival in Finland. According to Auditorium it sold out in London, Madrid, Mexico City, Milan, Tokyo and Paris. It is likely that live the songs from the two records alternate. The setlist of the Rome concert is not published.

The band

On the Teatro Studio stage García plays with Andoni Narvaez on guitar, Manuel Pardo on trumpet, Victor Jimenez on saxophone and Benjamin Kendrick Wirjosemito on drums. It is a lineup with two horns, trumpet and sax, that gives the bassist's funk the color of a miniature big band, and a guitar that works on rhythm alongside the bass.

Who is Vincen García: biography

Vincen García is a Spanish bassist whom Auditorium describes as one of the most important modern bassists on the world funk fusion and jazz scene, and one of the five bassists with the greatest social media impact globally.

A bassist born online

One fact above all: García is among the most listened-to bassists in the world on streaming, with hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of views and reactions. It is a typical path for a generation of musicians who made themselves known with videos of their performances even before their records, and who then brought that audience into concert halls.

The festivals

From the web to the big stages the step was quick. Auditorium cites performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Pori Jazz Festival, three of the most important names in European jazz. With Ventura the artist toured cities like Madrid, Paris, London, Los Angeles and New York.

The collaborations

García collaborates on tour with international artists like Cory Wong and Jesús Molina, two names closely followed by the funk and fusion audience. He is considered one of the most important and influential Spanish artists on the international scene.

Teaching and the project

On his site García also offers a bass course: part of his audience is made up of bassists who follow his lessons and his performances. The solo project, he recounted at the start of 2026, was born about three years earlier, and the Vivace tour has taken him to Latin America too, starting with Buenos Aires.

Teatro Studio Borgna, the concert hall

Teatro Studio Borgna is the smallest hall of Auditorium Parco della Musica, about 300 seats, dedicated to Gianni Borgna, longtime city councilor for cultural policy of the City of Rome and president of Fondazione Musica per Roma.

What it's like

It is a hall with a regular shape, without vertical architectural elements, entirely lined with cherry wood, with movable acoustic panels and curtains. The stage is at the same level as the floor seating and there is no curtain: the audience is a few meters from the musicians.

A club with a theater's acoustics

For a concert of bass, horns and drums Teatro Studio is the right choice: big enough for a real audience, intimate enough to hear every detail of the bass and see the musician's hands. It is the hall where, at Auditorium, jazz is heard as in a club, but with theater acoustics.

Jazz at Teatro Studio

In the same hall, over the year, Auditorium programs jazz concerts and the most intimate part of the Roma Jazz Festival. In autumn 2026 Carlo Molinari played there, among others, along with some of the names of the Roma Jazz Festival 2026.

A curiosity about Vincen García at Auditorium Parco della Musica, March 13, 2027

The most interesting curiosity concerns the title of the record García brings to Rome. Vivace is a term of Italian musical notation: all over the world musicians write tempo markings in Italian, allegro, adagio, andante, vivace. A Spanish bassist who built his career online chose for his second album a word that comes from the Italian classical tradition, and plays it in Rome, in the complex built by Renzo Piano to give a home to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.

The second curiosity is about the calendar. On Saturday, March 13, 2027 Auditorium also hosts, on the same evening, Les Étoiles, the dance gala curated by Daniele Cipriani, scheduled for 21:00. Anyone arriving at the complex that night will find two very different audiences, that of funk jazz and that of ballet, crossing paths in the amphitheater and in the foyers.

The third concerns the hall. Teatro Studio Borgna is dedicated to Gianni Borgna, longtime city councilor for cultural policy of the City of Rome and president of Fondazione Musica per Roma: a hall named for a culture administrator, rather than a musician, in the complex his city wanted for music.

Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone

Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, designed by Renzo Piano and run by Fondazione Musica per Roma, was built to give a permanent home to the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and today hosts music of every genre, dance, theater and cinema. The venue's listing on Estate Romana is here: Auditorium Parco della Musica.

The city of music

Renzo Piano described it as a city of music: three indoor halls, an outdoor amphitheater, big rehearsal and recording rooms, and a park around them. The halls are shaped like big sound boxes and, seen from outside, look like three beetles clad in lead sheets, arranged in a fan around the amphitheater named after Luciano Berio.

The halls

The largest is Sala Santa Cecilia, about 2,750 seats, designed for symphonic music. Next come Sala Sinopoli, about 1,130 seats, and Sala Petrassi, about 670. Teatro Studio Borgna, with its 300 seats, completes the complex and is the hall for the most intimate concerts.

The museums inside the complex

Inside the complex there are also an archaeological museum, with the remains of the Roman villa that emerged during the works, the Aristaios museum with Giuseppe Sinopoli's collection, a museum of musical instruments and two exhibition spaces. Anyone arriving early can take a tour before the concert.

Something nobody tells you about Vincen García at Auditorium Parco della Musica, March 13, 2027

What the presentations don't say is that a funk bassist's concert in a 300-seat hall is a different experience from a traditional jazz concert. An artist who became known through videos of his performances, and who offers a bass course on his site, easily draws musicians and students to the hall: people who know the songs note by note and who go to hear him also to see how he plays. In Teatro Studio, with the stage at the same level as the floor seating, you feel it: the hall reacts to the solos as in a club.

The second detail concerns the seat. The ticket is a single numbered seat: the price is the same everywhere, but the position changes a lot. Anyone who wants to see the bassist's hands will do well to choose a seat on the side of the stage from which the instrument's fretboard is visible. Those who prefer the overall sound can sit in the center, a few rows back.

The third is practical. On Saturday night, with more events in the same complex, the parking lots fill up early and tram 2 is more crowded than usual. It's best to arrive half an hour early.

How to get to Auditorium Parco della Musica

The solution the venue recommends is Metro line A to Flaminio, then tram 2 from the Piazzale Flaminio terminus in the direction of Piazza Mancini, to the Apollodoro stop, on Via Flaminia, about 500 meters on foot from the entrance.

By bus

The lines that pass near the complex are the 910 from Termini to Piazza Mancini, the 53, 982 and 168. The 910 from Termini is convenient for those staying near the station.

By train

From Piazzale Flaminio you can also use the Roma Nord railway and get off at Piazza Euclide, about 600 meters from the complex.

By car

The complex has two paid parking lots, both with spaces reserved for people with disabilities: one at street level in front of the complex, with access from Viale Pietro de Coubertin, and one covered multi-level with access from Viale de Coubertin and from Viale Maresciallo Pilsudski.

The way back

The length of the concert is not published. Before going in, it's best to check on the transport company's route planner the last runs of tram 2, the Metro and the night lines for your area.

My advice for visiting Vincen García at Auditorium Parco della Musica, March 13, 2027

The first piece of advice is to listen to Vivace before the concert, at least a couple of tracks. It's not needed to understand the music, which hits right away, but it helps you recognize the themes when the band opens them up to solos, and to catch how much live the pieces stretch and change compared with the record.

The second is to buy early and choose the seat carefully. In a 300-seat hall with the stage at floor level, the front rows are very close to the musicians: for a bass concert it's a rare chance to see up close the technique of the player. Anyone bothered by loud volume may prefer the central rows.

The third is to arrive early and take a walk around the complex. At 19:00 on Saturday the amphitheater and the foyers are lively, the bookstores and bars open, and the museums inside let you discover the complex beyond the halls. Then it's best to have dinner afterward, at Ponte Milvio, to end the night in a neighborhood that stays awake late on Saturdays.

Another well-known fact, yet rarely mentioned

It is well known that Auditorium Parco della Musica carries the name of Ennio Morricone: you read it on every ticket. Less often cited is that the naming is recent, approved by the Rome city council in 2020, after the composer's death. For almost 20 years the complex was called simply Auditorium Parco della Musica, and many Romans still call it that.

The fact is interesting for a concert like this one. Morricone was a composer able to cross different genres, from classical music to song, from film to experimentation, and he built part of his fame also on the strength of rhythm and unusual timbres. A bassist who mixes jazz, funk and fusion, who reached a big audience through the web, has something of that openness: music that doesn't let itself be boxed into a category.

There is also a second known and little-cited fact: during the works for Auditorium the remains of a Roman villa emerged, and Renzo Piano had to change the design by moving two of the three halls to the west. The remains can be visited in the small archaeological museum under the amphitheater.

The bass up front: how to listen to a Vincen García concert

In much music the bass holds the piece from behind, next to the drums. In Vincen García's concerts the bass is the solo instrument, the one that states the themes and takes the solos.

The dialogue with the horns

With a trumpet and a saxophone in the lineup, the themes can pass from the bass to the horns and back. It's best to follow exactly this handoff: when the bass leaves the melody to the horns, its role changes and it goes back to building the groove beneath them, and the band's sound widens.

Guitar and drums

Andoni Narvaez's guitar and Benjamin Kendrick Wirjosemito's drums are the rhythmic engine of the concert. In funk the rhythm is everything: anyone hearing a concert of this kind for the first time would do well to watch the drummer too, because many of the accents that get the hall moving start there.

Solos and improvisation

Jazz funk leaves room for improvisation. Pieces that last a few minutes on record can stretch out live, open up to solos from each musician, change their ending. It is one of the reasons why, in our view, it is worth hearing live an artist you know from videos: the version in the hall is never the recorded one.

How to plan the evening of March 13

With a concert at 20:00 on Saturday, March 13, the evening is organized around three moments: arriving at the Auditorium a little early, the concert, dinner at Ponte Milvio or in Flaminio.

The afternoon

Anyone who is in town all day can spend the afternoon at MAXXI or on a walk along the Tiber to Ponte della Musica, and arrive at the Auditorium around 19:15, in time to pick up tickets and take a turn around the cavea.

The same evening, another show

On Saturday, March 13 the Auditorium also hosts Les Étoiles, the dance gala of international ballet stars, scheduled for 21:00 in another hall. Couples with different tastes can split up and meet again at the end of the evening in the cavea: it is one of the few places in Rome where you can do that.

Getting back

On Saturday night tram 2 and the metro run frequently until late, but it's best to check the last departures in advance on the transit company's route planner. Alternatively, taxis are easy to find on Viale Pietro de Coubertin when the concerts let out.

What's around the Auditorium

Within less than one kilometer of Auditorium Parco della Musica are MAXXI, Ponte della Musica over the Tiber, the Flaminio stadium and Villa Glori.

MAXXI

MAXXI, the national museum of 21st-century arts on Via Guido Reni, is a few minutes' walk away: if you have a free afternoon you can visit it before the concert.

Ponte della Musica and the Tiber

A little farther on is the Ponte della Musica, the footbridge that connects Flaminio to Foro Italico. At sunset in March, with the light fading over the river, it makes a pleasant walk before going into the hall.

Milvian Bridge

Milvian Bridge is a few minutes away: it is the area where bars and restaurants open late are concentrated, the natural choice for after the concert.

The right photo to take at Vincen García at Auditorium Parco della Musica, March 13, 2027

The right photo is taken outside, from the cavea, with Renzo Piano's three halls lit up after sunset. In mid-March, at 19:30, the sun has already set, and anyone arriving at that hour finds the three lead scarabs lit against the dark sky: it is the most recognizable image of the Auditorium.

Inside Teatro Studio, before the lights go down, the cherry-wood-covered walls and the stage at the same level as the stalls make for a warm, intimate photograph, with the band's instruments already set up. During the concert it's best to follow the organizers' instructions on photos and filming: in such a small hall a lit screen can be seen from the whole audience.

The third photo is the one of the bass. Anyone sitting in the front rows can photograph the instrument on stage before the start: for an audience of bass players, it is the most coveted memento of the evening.

Some important events that happened here in history

The area on which the Auditorium stands has a longer history than the complex, and the history of the complex is more troubled than it seems.

The Roman villa

During construction the remains of a Roman villa from the 3rd century BC came to light, built on the site of a small farm from the archaic era, from the 6th century BC. The discovery forced Renzo Piano to change the design, and the finds are displayed in a museum carved out under the cavea.

From a lost auditorium to the competition

In 1936 the Augusteo hall was demolished, and for more than 60 years Rome remained without an auditorium built for symphonic music. In 1993 the city announced the competition for the new complex between the Olympic Village and the Flaminio stadium, and on July 27, 1994 Renzo Piano's design won.

The inauguration

On April 21, 2002 Sala Petrassi and Sala Sinopoli opened, and on December 21 Sala Santa Cecilia, with the Academy orchestra conducted by Myung-whun Chung. Since 2006 the Auditorium has hosted the Rome Film Fest. In 2020 it took the name of Ennio Morricone.

Who has passed through Vincen García at Auditorium Parco della Musica, March 13, 2027

In a little over 20 years, some of the greatest names in music have passed through Auditorium Parco della Musica. The inaugural concert of Sala Santa Cecilia was conducted by Myung-whun Chung. At the opening of Sala Sinopoli the composer Goffredo Petrassi heard the first performance in the new hall of his Concert Overture of 1931. Luciano Berio, who led the Academy in those years, gave his name to the cavea. Since then the conductors of the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia have passed through, from Antonio Pappano to Daniel Harding.

Jazz has had its Roman home here since 2002, when the Roma Jazz Festival moved to the Auditorium. In the 50th-anniversary edition, in November 2026, Paolo Fresu, Kurt Elling with the Yellowjackets, Steve Coleman with the Five Elements and Hamilton de Holanda passed through these halls. Teatro Studio Borgna, in particular, is the hall for the most intimate concerts.

Vincen García arrives by a different road from that of the schooled jazz musicians: online videos, millions of views, then the major European festivals, Montreux, North Sea, Pori, and tours with Cory Wong and Jesús Molina. Also passing through Teatro Studio with him are Andoni Narvaez, Manuel Pardo, Victor Jimenez and Benjamin Kendrick Wirjosemito, the band of the Vivace tour.

Accessibility at the Auditorium

Auditorium Parco della Musica declares a design conceived for full accessibility. Wheelchair users can reserve a seat in the hall at 06 8024 1281, open every day from 11:00 to 18:00. Reserved seats are limited by law.

Discounts

Fondazione Musica per Roma offers a 20 percent reduced ticket for people with disabilities and, where necessary, free admission for those who assist them. Blind people are entitled to a 50 percent discount. The conditions should be checked with the box office for each concert.

Inside the complex

Reception staff direct visitors to elevators and routes for the blind, and both of the Auditorium's parking lots have reserved spaces.

Vincen García with kids

Vincen García's concert is one of the best suited to a young audience in the Auditorium's jazz program: funk has rhythm, energy, and the artist is widely followed online by young players.

For those who study music

For a teenager studying bass, guitar or drums it is a rare chance: seeing from a few meters away a bass player who got known precisely through videos of his performances. It's best to choose the front rows.

With small children

The volume of a funk concert in an intimate hall can be high for small children: if you bring a child, choose the center rows and bring a pair of ear protectors.

Where to eat before or after the concert

Inside the Auditorium there are a bar and a coffee shop in the foyer and a bar-restaurant with access from the street as well: the most convenient solution for anyone coming straight from work.

In the neighborhood

Between the Olympic Village, Via Flaminia and Piazza Mancini there are pizzerias, trattorias and neighborhood bars, frequented more by residents than by tourists.

Ponte Milvio and Flaminio

Those who prefer to have dinner after the concert find the widest choice at Ponte Milvio, where bars and restaurants stay open late, especially on Saturday. In the opposite direction, toward Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza del Popolo, the choice is that of the historic center.

March in Rome, the Saturday of the concert

Vincen García's concert falls in mid-March, a period when Rome starts to fill with visitors but doesn't yet have the Easter crowds, and the evenings are mild enough for walking.

The weather

In mid-March the evenings can be cool and sometimes rainy: between the tram stop and the Auditorium entrance there are a few hundred meters outdoors, and a waterproof jacket is useful. Inside the complex the coat check lets you get rid of coats and umbrellas.

A weekend of music

Anyone coming to Rome for the concert can build a weekend around the Auditorium: on Saturday the funk jazz at Teatro Studio, on Sunday a visit to the complex's museums or to the museum of musical instruments, and a walk in Villa Borghese, reachable from Flaminio.
