The show “L’amore non conosce crimine” takes on the theme of violence against women, to say enough to these tragic events and to fight together a violence that a large part of the female world is forced to endure every day. Many women live it on their own skin, but few manage to rebel and report the man who promised to love them, pretending to feel a sincere emotion, only to silence their voice and treat them without any respect.

Violence against women is a worldwide problem. There is no race, religion or culture that can justify such treatment of women. Women must be protected, respected and never abandoned. Why should a woman be considered on a par with a beast, when the real brutality belongs to whoever commits violence?

Art is one of the most powerful means of communicating even the cruelest realities. In this show, monologues, songs, dances and dramatic readings will alternate. “L’amore non conosce crimine” is an engaging event, accompanied by evocative themed digital sets.

Where it takes place: Teatro dei Contrari

Besides shows, Teatro dei Contrari runs theater and music courses: from the yearly theater workshop that leads to a show to the clown course, from readings of Hamlet to individual guitar lessons for children, teens and adults. The website newsletter sends updates on courses, events and shows.

The address, Viale dei Quattro Venti 38, is in Monteverde Vecchio, whose first expansion in the early 20th century, around Via Carini and Piazza Rosolino Pilo, was made of small villas with gardens. To the north of the neighborhood stretches Villa Doria Pamphilj, the largest public park in the city, opened to the public in 1972: the Villa Doria Pamphilj page covers it.

The evening is promoted by the Associazione Culturale Artisti Naty APS and combines monologues, songs, dances and readings, with multimedia content by Annibale Bellina. From October 30 the theater also hosts La ragazza invisibile, from Mary Shelley.
