Text from the official Cultura Roma Capitale page, translated from Italian, source

«Starman» is an Italian premiere. Giannini stages a reconstruction of the life of a «Leonardo in the age of Elon Musk», from his childhood in South Africa to the building of his business empire, with testimonies and «barbecue-style» scenes. The language mixes musical, talk show and space saga, with the robot Prometheus on stage.

The festival warns that the show includes nudity and strobe lights. After the November 4 performance there's a meeting with Pietro Giannini, part of the Romaeuropa Festival series of artist talks with the audience in collaboration with Rai Radio 3, curated by Lorenzo Pavolini.

The cast includes Pietro Giannini, Nika Perrone, Davide Sinigaglia, Edoardo Sorgente and Caterina Tieghi, with Leonardo Capuano and Pia Lanciotti on video. Sets are by Andrea Colombo, costumes by Graziella Pepe and lighting by Francesco Traverso. The production is by Teatro Nazionale di Genova.

Giannini, born in Genoa in 2000, trained at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico and in 2025 won the Ubu award for best actor or performer under 35. On his earlier work there's also the page on La costanza della mia vita at Teatro del Lido di Ostia.

Teatro Vascello is in the Monteverde neighborhood, and this production is co-presented with La Fabbrica dell'Attore. During the season it hosts titles such as L'ostaggio with Edoardo Pesce and the evening Il giorno della civetta.
