Where it takes place: Teatro dei Contrari
Teatro dei Contrari describes itself as a completely renovated cultural space, born from the premises of the Armonia dei Contrari and run by the association Armonia dei Contrari, with the motto «Where the arts meet». It's in Monteverde Vecchio, the part of the Gianicolense district closest to the Janiculum Walls, between Via Aurelia Antica and Via Portuense.
The neighborhood's name recalls the Janiculum, whose western slopes Monteverde occupies. To get to know the area there's the guide Monteverde, what to see.
The show is dedicated to Modesta Valenti, a homeless woman who died in Rome on January 31, 1983, after being refused help at Termini station. The Community of Sant'Egidio remembers her every year on January 31, together with all homeless people who have died. Born in Capodistria in 1912, she became a symbol of the «martyr of indifference»: in 2002 Rome named a fictitious street after her, which homeless people can use as a residence address, and in 2014 a plaque commemorated her at Termini station.
