Supermagic Impossibile, the 23rd edition of Supermagic, plays at Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Via della Conciliazione 4 (Borgo district), from January 21 to February 7, 2027. The venue lists Ottaviano and Lepanto on Metro Line A as metro stops, about a kilometer away on foot. The nearest ATAC stop is Traspontina, about 70 meters from the entrance. The show lasts over two hours and brings together more than 18 artists from different countries, including Mag Marin, Josephine Lee, André Blake, Read Chang, Charlie Mag and Raffaello Corti. The calendar of individual performances, the times and the prices are published on the official Supermagic website and by the authorized seller indicated by the organizer. From the show page on the Auditorium Conciliazione website the Biglietti button leads to the sales channels. After Rome, the same edition goes to Milan from February 12 to 14, 2027.

Language: a performance based on dance, music or visual acts; no English version is announced, any spoken parts are in Italian.

18 days of magic 100 meters from Castel Sant'Angelo: it is the formula with which Supermagic returns to Rome every winter for more than 20 years. Anyone who accompanies families and school groups in the city knows it is one of the few shows able to bring grandparents, parents and children into agreement in the same row. Here you will find what you will see, who the artists are, how to organize the evening and how to get to a hall that has the Vatican as a backdrop.

Supermagic Impossibile: what kind of show it is

Supermagic Impossibile is the 23rd edition of Supermagic, an international magic show that the organizer presents as the largest in Europe: more than two hours of big illusions, manipulation, comedy and poetic moments, with a cast completely renewed compared with the previous year.

The theme of the edition

The title declares the program: a journey into a world where what seems impossible comes to life in front of the audience. The official presentation speaks of a universe suspended between what we know and what we cannot explain, to celebrate the fascination of illusion and the art of live magic.

The disciplines on stage

Illusionists, conjurers, manipulators and other magic talents from all over the world alternate on stage. The release lists big illusions, special effects, poetic moments, comedy and surprises. The structure is that of a gala, with different acts following one another and a common thread entrusted to the title.

A renewed cast

The 23rd edition presents, according to the organizer, a completely new cast with more than 18 internationally famous artists. It is a choice Supermagic claims every year: whoever saw the previous edition will not find the same acts.

Who it is designed for

The presentation explicitly addresses two audiences: adults, whom it promises to reawaken the capacity for wonder, and the youngest, to whom it gives moments of marvel. It is a family show in the full sense, not a show for children to which adults adapt.

The artists of Supermagic Impossibile 2027

The cast announced for Supermagic Impossibile includes Mag Marin from Spain, Josephine Lee from England, André Blake from Germany, Read Chang from South Korea, Charlie Mag from Spain and Raffaello Corti from Italy, together with other artists not yet named.

Mag Marin

Mag Marin comes from Spain with the title of Spanish illusion champion. With André Blake he represents in this edition the big-illusions side, the one that can be seen best even from the back rows.

Josephine Lee

Josephine Lee is presented as an award-winning British illusionist. The official website devotes two promotional images to her: she is one of the faces chosen to present this edition.

André Blake

André Blake comes from Germany and is German illusion runner-up champion: a second name for the big-illusions side, which in Supermagic editions always takes up an important space.

Read Chang

Read Chang comes from South Korea with the title of magic world runner-up. It is the highest title among those announced in the cast of this edition.

Charlie Mag

Charlie Mag, Spanish, is European magic champion. With Mag Marin he makes Spain the most represented country in the announced cast.

Raffaello Corti

Raffaello Corti is the only Italian among the announced names, presented as the anti-conjurer "Faccestamagia." It is the comedian's role inside the magic show: the one who shows the trick that does not work and makes the hall laugh between one big act and the next.

Remo Pannain, the creator of Supermagic

Supermagic was created by Remo Pannain, a Roman criminal defense lawyer who practices law full time following the family tradition and who, in parallel, has always been passionate about conjuring.

The conjurer

Pannain has performed at the most important conjurers' conventions in Italy and abroad, also winning international awards, and on those occasions has often given technical lectures. He has written many publications in the sector's international magazines.

The cameo in every edition

The Supermagic website tells that Pannain appears in a cameo in all editions of the show, and that he hosted the tenth as master of the house. For the loyal audience, recognizing him on stage is one of the evening's little games.

The club and the academy

A small world has grown around the show: Supermagic promotes a club for enthusiasts, Supermagic Asimagia, born from the meeting with ASI, a sports and social promotion body recognized by CONI, and an academy with magic courses at different levels. For a child who leaves the hall wanting to learn a magic trick, it is the natural next step.

Supermagic in numbers: 22 editions before this one

In the 22 previous editions Supermagic has brought to the stage, according to the organizer, 130 world-famous artists and more than 300,000 spectators, and has been recognized by the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques as "best magic show."

The FISM

The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques is the body that brings together conjurers' associations from all over the world, the top authority in the field. The recognition of Supermagic is the fact the organizer always puts first.

The latest editions in Rome

The 20th edition, Supermagic XX, played at Auditorium Conciliazione from January 25 to February 4, 2024, as the venue itself recalls. The late January and early February window is by now a custom: for many Roman families Supermagic is the event that follows the Christmas holidays.

Rome and Milan

The 2027 edition is announced in only two cities: Rome, at Auditorium Conciliazione, from January 21 to February 7, and Milan, at Teatro Repower, from February 12 to 14. Rome has the longest run: 18 days against three.

Tickets for Supermagic Impossibile and the VIP experience

Tickets for Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione are bought on the channels indicated by the official Supermagic website and by the show page on the venue's website. Prices and the performance calendar are published by the authorized seller indicated by the organizer.

Where to buy

The official Supermagic website refers to the authorized presale network for each performance. The venue page has its own Biglietti button. Any other channel offers no guarantees: with a long run and an audience of families, resale offers at inflated prices are the first risk to avoid.

The VIP experience

Supermagic offers a VIP experience that the website describes this way: the best Poltronissima seats near the stage, reserved entry to the theater one hour earlier, a welcome refreshment, a small private show at close range, a tour of the stage and backstage guided by an artist, the poster autographed by the cast and a collectible gift.

Is it worth it?

For a child passionate about magic, the backstage visit with an artist is worth the extra cost by itself: it is the moment when the show becomes a craft. For an adult who only wants a good seat, the regular Poltronissima is enough.

A curiosity about Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione, January 21 to February 7, 2027

The curiosity is that the largest magic show in Europe, according to its organizers, was born from the idea of a criminal defense lawyer. Remo Pannain practices law full time in Rome, in the tradition of his family, and at the same time has built a parallel career as a conjurer, with international awards and technical lectures at industry conventions. Supermagic is the synthesis of the two lives: an event organized with the care of a case file and staged with the lightness of a magic trick.

And Pannain does not stay behind the scenes. The show's website tells that he appears in a cameo in all editions, and that he hosted the tenth himself, as master of the house. For those who have been going to Supermagic for years, spotting his passage on stage has become a little ritual.

The second curiosity concerns the hall. Auditorium Conciliazione is no stranger to magic: besides Supermagic, which has returned there several times, it has hosted MAGIC, the Gran Galà Internazionale di Magia, an annual event born in 2014 that reached its tenth edition in May 2024. A hall born in 1950 on a street symbolic of religious Rome has become, in January and May, one of the homes of illusionism in Italy.

Auditorium Conciliazione: the hall of Supermagic

Auditorium Conciliazione, inaugurated in 1950, is at number 4 Via della Conciliazione, in the Borgo district, with a main hall that can hold up to 1756 people. For the full page on the hall, see our page on Auditorium Conciliazione.

The Sala Grande

Supermagic plays in the Sala Grande, which the venue presents as completely renovated, with carefully tuned acoustics. The official photographs show diamond-point wooden panels, a covering that diffuses sound: useful for the music that accompanies the acts and for the hosts' voices.

A front-facing orchestra

The hall is front-facing, built for cinema too, and this matters for magic: the big illusions are designed to be seen from the front. From almost every seat the overall view is good. For manipulation acts, made of tiny details, the nearest central rows are a concrete advantage. For the big illusions, a few rows farther back let you take in the whole stage.

The Foyer

The Foyer measures almost 800 square meters, with an LED wall system, and can hold up to 1000 people standing. On Supermagic evenings it is the meeting point: with children in tow, it is best to arrange to meet inside and not on the sidewalk.

Chorus Cafè and services

Beside the Foyer the venue lists the Sala del Lucernario, the Buvette and the Chorus Cafè, a bar and restaurant with the offering of barman Massimo D'Addezio and chef Arcangelo Dandini. In one of the official photographs a large skylight lights a polychrome stained-glass window with winged figures, one of the least known corners of the building.

One thing nobody tells you about Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione, January 21 to February 7, 2027

What almost nobody says is that the physical box office of Auditorium Conciliazione does not work like that of a traditional theater. The venue announces that the sales point at Via della Conciliazione 4 is closed until further notice, and that the cash desk opens only an hour before the start, and only for the show playing that evening. If you think you will spend the afternoon asking for information or buying for another date, you will find the door closed: the channels are the online ones indicated by the organizer.

The second thing concerns the address. The public hall is at Via della Conciliazione 4, but the offices' contact details lead to Borgo Sant'Angelo 5, the street that runs behind the building. For the audience the entrance remains the one on Via della Conciliazione. If you use a navigator with the offices' details, you risk ending up at the back.

Third thing, meant for those going with children: a performance that lasts over two hours, with an intermission, is long for a four- or five-year-old. The presentation says the show is for adults and children together, and it is true. But sitting near the aisle, for a discreet exit to the restroom, is the difference between a nice evening and an evening of sideways looks from the next row.

How to get to Auditorium Conciliazione for Supermagic

To reach Auditorium Conciliazione the venue indicates Metro Line A, getting off at Ottaviano or Lepanto. From Ottaviano to the entrance at Via della Conciliazione 4 it is about 900 meters, from Lepanto about a kilometer.

By Metro, Line A

Ottaviano is the most convenient choice: you head toward Piazza del Risorgimento and continue along Borgo Pio to Via della Conciliazione, a quarter of an hour at an easy pace, on flat ground. Lepanto means crossing Prati by way of Piazza Cavour and Piazza Adriana. In the Ottaviano area there are construction sites for the new Line C station, with pedestrian routes that are sometimes temporary.

By bus and tram

The nearest ATAC stop is Traspontina, about 70 meters from the entrance, equipped for wheelchair access. Other useful stops are Paola, beyond Ponte Sant'Angelo, Piazza della Rovere, Via Crescenzio and Piazza Cavour. The nearest tram stop is Ottaviano, on Via Barletta.

From Termini and the airports

The venue suggests, from Fiumicino, the Leonardo train to Termini and then Metro Line A toward Battistini to Lepanto or Ottaviano. From Ciampino, the shuttles to Termini and then the same Metro.

By car and parking

The venue lists four parking lots: Piazza Cavour, public paid, about a 9-minute walk. Piazza Adriana, public paid, about 6 minutes. Terminal Vaticano, private, at Via Urbano VIII 16, about 5 minutes. Parking Gran Melia, private, at Via del Gianicolo 2, about 8 minutes. The center has limited traffic zones to check before leaving.

By taxi

With small children or grandparents, the taxi is the most sensible solution on the way there. On exiting a performance with over a thousand spectators it is best to book one, or walk toward Piazza Pia or the Lungotevere.

The advice I give you for visiting Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione, January 21 to February 7, 2027

It is best to choose a performance in the first week, between January 21 and 24, or a weekday one in the second. It is a rule that holds for all long runs: the last dates and the weekends fill up first, driven by word of mouth, and the central seats disappear. In the first days the cast is fresh and the hall quieter.

Second piece of advice, on site: for a magic show the temptation is the front row, but it is not always the best choice. Big illusions are enjoyed best from a middle distance, in the center, where you see the whole stage and the play of lights that accompanies the apparitions. The front rows reward the manipulation acts, made of cards and coins, but force you to turn your head for the wider acts. Better a row between the seventh and the fifteenth, in the center.

Third piece of advice, for families: prepare the children. Explain that no videos are taken during the show, that there is an intermission, that you can laugh and applaud but not get up. And afterward, at home, let them try to guess the tricks: it is half the fun, and the Supermagic club exists precisely for those who want to go further.

Finally: arrive half an hour early and stop by Piazza Pia. The lit Castel Sant'Angelo, in January, is the best introduction to an evening of illusions.

Another well-known fact, yet rarely mentioned

That Supermagic is a family show everyone knows. Less often mentioned is the fact that the cast is built on competition titles. Beside the 2027 names you read Spanish illusion champion, German illusion runner-up champion, magic world runner-up, European magic champion: four of the six announced artists arrive with a national, continental or world title. Supermagic works as a showcase of those who have won.

The same Federation, which brings together conjurers' associations from all over the world, recognized Supermagic as "best magic show." It is the fact the organizer always puts first, and it has a precise meaning: the recognition comes from inside the world of magic, not from the public or the press.

A second fact little cited concerns the hall. Auditorium Conciliazione has hosted cinema, concerts, conventions and shows for decades, and the venue itself describes its own history as that of a place that moved from traditional culture to the contemporary in all its forms. In 2023 a world premiere screening of Mission: Impossible, Dead Reckoning Part One was held there. That the same hall speaks of "Impossible" for an action film and for a magic show is a coincidence that gives the idea of its versatility.

The right photo to take at Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione, January 21 to February 7, 2027

The right photo, on Supermagic night, is taken outside the hall: in front of the entrance at Via della Conciliazione 4, turning west, with the lit dome of St. Peter's at the end of the street's perspective. In the evening, with the street almost empty, it works even with a phone.

The trick is to stand on the sidewalk on the Auditorium's side, leave the lit entrance at the edge of the frame and keep the center on the line of the street. With a child in the foreground and the dome in the background, it is the photo the family will keep. Expose for the dome, which tends to blow out, and let the street be a bit darker.

A second possible photo, for those arriving early: from Piazza Pia, about 70 meters from the entrance, with Castel Sant'Angelo behind you and the start of Via della Conciliazione in front. At the end of January the sun sets early, and around half past five the blue twilight light on the castle is the most beautiful of the day: for a weekend afternoon performance it is the exit time.

Third photo: in the Foyer, in front of the Supermagic promotional materials, before the doors open. In the hall, during the acts, the phone stays in your pocket: filming spoils the surprise for those behind, and for a magic show the surprise is everything.

Supermagic with kids: age and advice

Supermagic Impossibile is presented by the organizer as a show for adults and children together, designed to give the youngest moments of wonder. The minimum entry age should be checked on the official channels at the time of purchase.

From what age

From experience with families and school groups, between six and 12 the show works very well: the acts are short, change often, and the comedy of a character like the anti-conjurer keeps attention high. Under five, the running time of over two hours is felt.

The right performances

With children, choose the weekend afternoon performances, if the calendar has them. You come out in time for dinner, and the next day isn't a burden.

After the show

The next day, if the child asks how it's done, there is a ready answer: Supermagic has a club for enthusiasts and an academy with courses at different levels. Magic is one of the few arts in which the eight-year-old spectator can become, with patience, a small performer.

Accessibility at Auditorium Conciliazione

For tickets for people with disabilities, Auditorium Conciliazione asks you to write to info@auditoriumconciliazione.it when the show page does not give specific indications. The venue's phone is 06 684391.

Getting there without barriers

Among the Metro stations listed by the venue, Ottaviano is equipped for wheelchair access, even if not all its entrances are. Lepanto is not. The Traspontina stop, the nearest, is accessible. The route from Ottaviano crosses busy intersections and construction stretches. With a manual wheelchair it is better to be accompanied, or to choose the taxi.

Inside the hall

The building's accessibility is indicated as partial in public mappings: the placement of reserved seats, access to the Foyer and to the restrooms should be confirmed directly with the venue before buying.

Some important events that took place here in history

Auditorium Conciliazione was inaugurated in 1950 and has gone through more than 70 years of Roman cultural life, moving from a traditional culture venue to a hall open to every form of the contemporary, from dance to music, from visual arts to cinema. It is the venue itself that tells its own history this way.

In 2023 the hall hosted a world premiere screening of Mission: Impossible, Dead Reckoning Part One. In the same year, from October 18 to 29, it welcomed the 21st edition of Alice nella Città, part of the Rome Film Festival, and for the third consecutive year the Stati Generali della Natalità.

2024 opened with the 20th edition of Supermagic, from January 25 to February 4, and with four evenings of Queen at the Opera, the symphonic rock show with a 30-piece ensemble. In May 2024 MAGIC returned, the Gran Galà Internazionale di Magia, in its tenth edition of an event born in 2014, with artists such as Lupis, Hannu Juntunen, Jimmy Delp and Erix Logan.

Between January 16 and February 16, 2025, in the Jubilee year, the hall ran for a month Bernadette de Lourdes, a musical on the Marian apparitions with music by Grégoire and direction by Serge Denoncourt. In 2026 came the first Shen Yun residency, which returns in February 2027 right after Supermagic.

Borgo and Prati around Supermagic

Auditorium Conciliazione is in the Borgo district, between Castel Sant'Angelo, about 230 meters away, and St. Peter's Square, about half a kilometer away. If you arrive an hour early you can build a walk around the show without going more than 10 minutes on foot from the hall. For a complete picture there is the guide to Prati and Borgo.

Castel Sant'Angelo and the bridge

Beyond Piazza Pia rises Castel Sant'Angelo. The pedestrian Ponte Sant'Angelo is about 250 meters away. For a child, the lit castle before a magic show is already half the evening.

St. Peter's Square

At the end of Via della Conciliazione opens St. Peter's Square, with the basilica at the back. In the evening the square can be walked and the atmosphere changes compared with the daytime crowd. If you sleep nearby you can dedicate the next morning to the Vatican Museums.

Santo Spirito in Sassia and Borgo Pio

Toward the Tiber, about 200 meters away, is the complex of Santo Spirito in Sassia. Borgo Pio, the pedestrian street of the Borgo district, is about 250 meters away: the most natural place to look for a table before the show.

Who has played Supermagic Impossibile at Auditorium Conciliazione, January 21 to February 7, 2027

Before Supermagic Impossibile, the Auditorium Conciliazione stage hosted singer-songwriters such as Vinicio Capossela, orchestras such as the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, comedians such as Alessandro Cattelan and Pio e Amedeo, and the protagonists of all the Roman editions of Supermagic, up to the 130 world-famous artists the organizer counts in the 22 previous editions.

The world of magic is at home here. At the MAGIC Gran Galà evenings, in May 2024, the hall welcomed artists such as Lupis, Hannu Juntunen, Ramò and Alegria, Jimmy Delp, Starman, the Evolution Dance Theater, Sara Maya and Erix Logan. In March 2024 Marco Zoppi and Rolanda Sabaliauskaite brought Bubbles Revolution, the soap-bubble show presented in more than 60 countries: another family title built on wonder.

Music has a long list: Capossela with the Tredici canzoni urgenti on October 13 and 14, 2023, Paola e Chiara with the Per Sempre Tour, Franco Ricciardi, Noemi and Federica Carta for LAZIOSound, the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema with 80 players for the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack. In the 2026 and 2027 season the program includes, among others, Brunori Sas and Gloria, il musical, which closes on January 10 shortly before the arrival of magic.

Right after Supermagic, from February 12 to 28, Shen Yun returns. Between the end of the magic and the start of the dance, only five days pass. The hall on Via della Conciliazione, in winter, is one of the busiest in the city.

Where to eat before or after Supermagic

The most convenient place to eat before Supermagic is inside the building: the Chorus Cafè, the bar and restaurant of Auditorium Conciliazione. Having dinner in the same building eliminates the risk of arriving late, especially with children. On weekends it is best to book.

Borgo

The streets of Borgo, starting from Borgo Pio, offer trattorias and pizzerias designed largely for Vatican visitors. Quality is variable: it is best to prefer places where, at seven in the evening, you hear Roman spoken at the tables.

Prati

A 10-minute walk away, around Via Cola di Rienzo and Piazza Cavour, Prati offers pizza-by-the-slice places for a quick dinner, neighborhood trattorias, wine bars with kitchens. With a performance of over two hours, a light and early dinner is the wisest choice, especially for children.

After the show

Borgo tends to close early. After the evening performances it is best to cross Ponte Sant'Angelo or head toward Prati. After the afternoon ones, dinner in Borgo is the natural continuation of the afternoon.

January and February in Rome: the time of Supermagic

The Supermagic Impossibile performances fall between January 21 and February 7, 2027, low tourist season weeks in Rome, with short days and cold evenings.

What to wear

The advice is layers: in the hall the temperature is theater-like, outside in the evening the damp of the Tiber is felt. Comfortable shoes: between the Metro and the hall you walk almost a kilometer.

The city around

After the holidays the Vatican, in the evening, is almost deserted, and the museums in the morning have shorter lines. For those coming from out of town with children, it is a good time to combine the show with a visit to the basilica, sleeping nearby.

The holidays

The period does not coincide with the main school holidays. The weekend performances are the most suitable for those with school-age children, the weekday ones for those looking for a less full hall.
