The Filarmonica is based in the Casina Vagnuzzi, a building five minutes from Piazza del Popolo that, according to the official website, has housed the institution's offices and library for more than half a century. The core dates from the 16th century and belonged to the estates of Pope Julius III outside Porta del Popolo.
Its current neoclassical look is due to Giuseppe Valadier and then Luigi Canina, and FAI has included the casina among its «luoghi del cuore». For the surroundings you can check the pages on Piazza del Popolo and on the concert of the Duo Gullino Troncarelli, also in Sala Casella.
