The event

Written in 1952, the drama tells of hypocrisy and moral repression in a middle-class southern family transplanted to Rome. At its center is Caterina Leher, a French governess who hides her homosexuality and, to protect herself, falsely accuses another woman. The staging stays faithful to the 1952 text, without updating it.

The cast includes Franco Branciaroli, Giovanna Di Rauso, Paride Benassai, Massimo De Matteo, Eletta Del Castillo, Emanuele Fortunati, Carolina Sisto and Valentina Violo. Sets by Luigi Ferrigno, costumes by Dora Argento, music by Paolo Coletta, sound by Hubert Westkemper; produced by Teatro Biondo Palermo.

The six performances are Tuesday, February 23 (8:00 p.m.), Wednesday, February 24 (7:00 p.m.), Thursday, February 25 (5:00 p.m.), Friday, February 26 (8:00 p.m.), Saturday, February 27 (7:00 p.m.) and Sunday, February 28, 2027 (5:00 p.m.).
