The event
It is a children’s opera by composer Silvia Colasanti to a text by Roberto Piumini, dated 2010, directed by Luca Baracchini, published by Casa Ricordi. It tells of the value of solidarity: unity, collective intelligence and courage can defeat arrogance and bullying.
When an arrogant big lizard decides to keep the sun all to himself, a group of small, brave lizards sets off on a journey to find the strength to change their destiny. On stage are the children’s chorus and the JuniOrchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, conducted by Simone Genuini, with solo singers and actors; the audience also takes part with singing and simple sound interventions.
