Tedua plays at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome on Thursday, January 28, 2027, starting at 21:00, on the Rome date of the Ted Ryan Tour produced by Live Nation. The venue is Palazzo dello Sport in EUR, at Piazzale Pier Luigi Nervi 1, 00144 Rome: you get there by Metro line B, stops EUR Palasport or EUR Fermi, and from Termini station the trip is direct, with no changes. Prices are published on the organizer's official website and by the authorized reseller indicated by the organization. Tickets are bought on the presale circuit authorized by the organization, reachable from the official page of Tedua's concert on the Live Nation website. For people with disabilities the promoter gives a dedicated address, diversamenteabili@the-base.it. Rome is the fourth of the five dates of the tour, which starts in Jesolo on January 21 and ends in Milan on the 31st.

Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport: Thursday, January 28, 2027

Tedua's Rome concert is set for Thursday, January 28, 2027 at Palazzo dello Sport, and it is the only date of the Ted Ryan Tour in Central and Southern Italy. If you live between Tuscany and Sicily and want to see him in an arena this winter, you have to come to EUR. It is a fact that weighs on the makeup of the audience: in the hall there will be Romans, but also many young people who arrived by train or car from outside the city, with everything that this implies for the logistics of the evening and above all the ride home.

The Rome date in the tour calendar

On the Live Nation website the event page carries the tour title, TEDUA: TED RYAN TOUR, the date of Thursday, January 28, 2027 and the venue, Palazzo dello Sport di Roma. On the same page the promoter lists the other four evenings and the access for people with disabilities. The genre given by the promoter in the artist page is hip hop and rap, and there is no need to add anything else: whoever buys the ticket knows perfectly well what they are going to hear.

A Thursday in late January

The day of the week matters more than it seems. Thursday means school, university and work on Friday morning, and it also means a city still in weekday mode: EUR offices emptying in the late afternoon, a metro crowded with commuters until 19:00, traffic on Via Cristoforo Colombo at rush hour. The good side is that on Thursday evening, once the office exodus is over, the district frees up, and those who arrive with a little margin find quieter streets than they would on a Saturday.

The time

The start is given at 21:00. The time the gates open does not appear on the promoter's page, and the end time is not published. To plan, it is best to think of a late-evening exit and a slow outflow, as always happens when an arena empties all at once. Anyone who has a train to catch to get back outside Rome has to reckon with this, and I will come back to it later.

Tedua's Ted Ryan Tour: five arenas in 11 days

The Ted Ryan Tour brings Tedua to five Italian arenas between January 21 and 31, 2027: Jesolo, Bologna, Turin, Rome and Milan, according to the calendar published by Live Nation. 11 days, five cities, five different halls. It is a compact run, built on the big arenas of the North and a single date in Rome, and this explains why the EUR evening will draw an audience from half of Italy.

The five dates

The calendar, as it appears on the promoter's artist page, is this: Thursday, January 21 at Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo, Saturday, January 23 at Unipol Arena in Bologna, Tuesday, January 26 at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Thursday, January 28 at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, Sunday, January 31 at Unipol Forum in Milan. One date per city, no repeats, no announced doubling. Those who miss the Rome evening have no second chance in the city during this run.

Rome second to last

Rome comes in fourth place, after three evenings and before the Milan closing. For those who go to concerts with a minimum of experience, the position in the calendar says something: by the fourth date a show is broken in, the technicians know every passage, the artist has already taken the measure of the audience and the production. It is no longer the settling-in phase and not yet the slightly special emotion of the last night. It is often the most solid evening of a tour, the one in which the show runs as it should.

The promoter and the venue

The tour is produced by Live Nation, one of the big concert organizers in Italy and in the world. The promoter's website is also the official reference point for any information about the event: date, venue, authorized sales channels, accessibility contacts. In case of changes, variations or last-minute communications, that is where to look, not in social media groups or word-of-mouth sites.

Who Tedua is: 10 years since the first mixtape

Tedua is one of the most established names in Italian rap: according to the Live Nation press release of November 3, 2025 he has 79 platinum records, 39 gold records and 2.9 billion global streams in his career. The promoter defines him as a trendsetter of the scene, and the definition, for anyone who has followed Italian rap for a few years, does not sound exaggerated.

Aspettando Orange County, the beginning

The starting point, according to the same press release, is a mixtape: Aspettando Orange County, Tedua's first work, the one that marked the start of his career. In November 2025 the promoter spoke of 10 years since that release. A mixtape, for those who do not follow the genre, is a freer work than an album, often distributed in a less structured way, and in rap it has always been the calling card of those who are starting out. That Tedua cares to recall it, a decade later, says a lot about the bond he wants to keep with the audience of the early years.

La Divina Commedia

The latest project cited by the promoter is La Divina Commedia, certified seven times platinum and listed as one of the best-selling albums of 2023. The title, for a rap record, is a statement of intent: taking the highest text of Italian literature as a frame means claiming ambition in writing, not only in the charts. You feel affection for an artist who sends thousands of kids looking for Dante, even just to understand the title of an album.

The arena audience

According to Live Nation, Tedua's last arena tour sold out and passed 100,000 tickets sold. It is a figure that helps those who must decide if and when to buy: an artist who has already filled arenas once tends to do it again, and putting off the purchase to the last week is almost always a mistake.

From the first San Siro to the Ted Ryan Tour: Tedua's two years

On November 3, 2025 Live Nation announced Tedua's first concert at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan, set for June 24, 2026. It is the step that precedes the Ted Ryan Tour, and it helps to understand at what point in his career the artist arrives at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome: after a stadium, back in indoor arenas.

The announcement together with a single

The San Siro announcement came, according to the press release, at the same time as the release of a new single, Chuniri, announced by surprise by Tedua on his social media and published overnight on all platforms. The track is produced by SHUNE. The promoter describes it as a piece that recalls the sounds and writing that made the first fans fall in love, and at the same time as the start of a new chapter of his career.

The video between Los Angeles and Italy

The video for Chuniri is directed by Simone Mariano and by Bogdan Plakov, known as Chilldays, for Borotalco.tv, and was shot between Los Angeles and Italy. In the final scene, the promoter says, Tedua races in a car at full speed straight toward San Siro. It is a way of announcing a concert that says a lot about the generation of artists Tedua belongs to: the video is already part of the event's communication, and the audience receives it as a single story.

Why it matters for the Rome evening

Arriving in Rome after a stadium means returning to a more intimate setting. An arena is big, but it does not have the distances of a stadium: the stage is closer, the sound is more compact, you can see the audience's faces. For a rapper, the arena is the right size. You lose a little epic, you gain everything in intensity.

What to expect from Tedua's concert at Palazzo dello Sport

At Palazzo dello Sport in Rome Tedua brings the Ted Ryan Tour. Setlist, guests and production details are not published on the promoter's official channels. Everything you read around before January 21, the start date in Jesolo, should be taken with caution, and even after that date nobody guarantees that the show stays identical from one city to the next.

The repertoire

What can be said with certainty is that the catalog is wide: a decade of work, from the mixtape Aspettando Orange County to La Divina Commedia and the later singles like Chuniri. If you want to arrive prepared, listen carefully to the latest works, which are the ones on which an artist on tour tends to build the central part of the evening, and then catch up on the best-known songs of the past, which the audience will sing by heart.

The audience

The audience at a rap concert in an arena is largely young, and knows the lyrics. This turns the evening into a choral, loud, physical experience: the floor will be standing from beginning to end, the stands more composed. If you are accompanying a son or a friend without knowing the artist, know this beforehand: you do not listen in silence, you sing, you jump, you live inside a crowd that lives every chorus.

The setlist

The setlist is not published. By the Rome date the tour will already have touched Jesolo, Bologna and Turin, and in the days before, the official channels of the artist and the promoter may give some hints. Better not to read it: a concert where you already know every passage loses half its effect.

Tickets for Tedua in Rome: where and how

Tickets for Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport are bought only on the presale circuit authorized by the organization, that is, on the channels listed on the event's official page on the Live Nation website. Prices are published there and by the authorized reseller. They vary by sector, floor or stands, and by category.

The authorized circuit

The promoter's page lists several authorized resellers for general sale, and apart from that a share of tickets reserved for a program of a payment card company. The practical principle is simple: start from the Live Nation page and follow the link to the reseller from there, rather than searching for the ticket on a search engine, where the first results may be unauthorized secondary resale sites.

Floor or stands

For a rap concert the choice of sector changes the evening. The floor is for those who want to live the show from inside, standing, in the most active part of the hall. The stands offer a seat, an overall view and a more orderly exit. For a parent who is accompanying, for those a few years older or for those who suffer in crowds, the stands are the sensible choice. For a 20-year-old who knows every lyric, the floor.

The secondary market

The verdict is without nuance: for a concert with a young and highly motivated audience, offers circulating on social media, in messaging groups or on sites not indicated by the organizer are the ideal ground for scams. Duplicate tickets, inflated prices, screenshots of codes already used. Anyone who puts €100 into a transaction like that risks losing it without ever reaching the gate. If the concert is sold out, check the official page in the days before, hoping for a resale, and stop there.

Palazzo dello Sport in EUR: the concert venue

Palazzo dello Sport in Rome is at Piazzale Pier Luigi Nervi 1, in EUR, and was designed by Pier Luigi Nervi with Marcello Piacentini for the Rome Olympics of 1960. For the complete history of the building I refer to the page on Palazzo dello Sport. Here what matters is understanding how the hall works on the night of a concert.

Nervi and Piacentini for 1960

Nervi is the engineer who made reinforced concrete an expressive material, able to cover large spans with light, recognizable structures. Piacentini is the architect whose name remains tied more than any other to EUR. The two signatures meet in a building conceived for the occasion with which Rome wanted to show itself to the world, rebuilt and modern, 15 years after the end of the war. The great roof you see arriving from Via Cristoforo Colombo is the image that stays. That this hall, 67 years later, hosts a rap tour is the best use it could have: an Olympic building at the service of today's audience.

The names of the hall

Palazzo dello Sport has changed its name more than once. For many Romans it is still the Palaeur, a name that also appears in the concert archives of the 1980s. In 2011 it was called PalaLottomatica. Today it is back to Palazzo dello Sport. On the signs and in the name of the metro stop you read Palasport. If you ask a Roman over 40 for directions, say Palaeur: they will understand you sooner.

Floor and stands

For concerts the hall is divided between the floor in front of the stage and the stands that rise all around. The layout of the sectors changes from event to event and is the one indicated at the time of purchase. The circular shape of the hall has a concrete advantage: even from the high stands the distance from the stage remains reasonable, and the overall view, with the full floor below you, is a show of its own.

Two addresses, one building

Promoters and box offices use Piazzale Pier Luigi Nervi 1. In map databases the building also appears as Piazzale dello Sport 1, with the same postal code 00144. It is the same complex, with coordinates around 41.825 latitude and 12.467 longitude. For the navigator, it is enough to search for Palazzo dello Sport Roma.

How to get to Palazzo dello Sport for Tedua's concert

The simplest way to reach Tedua's concert is Metro line B, getting off at EUR Palasport or EUR Fermi: from Termini station you arrive with no changes. For a young audience, often without cars, and for those arriving in Rome by train, it is the cheapest and most predictable solution.

By metro

The useful stops are two, both on line B. EUR Palasport is the nearest and carries the name of the hall. EUR Fermi is a little farther, about 500 meters as the crow flies, and lets you avoid the crush of the first. If you are traveling on line A you change at Termini. On Thursday evening the trains toward EUR are still full of commuters until late: allow a few more minutes and get on the metro well ahead of the 21:00 start.

For those arriving by train from outside Rome

Since it is the only date of the tour between the Center and the South, many will arrive by train. Termini is the most convenient station, precisely for the direct connection with line B. The practical advice is to look at the return train time before buying the concert ticket, not after: a concert that starts at 21:00 in an arena hardly releases the audience before late evening, and the last useful train may already have left.

By bus

EUR is served by many urban bus lines that connect it to the center, to Ostiense and to nearby districts. Routes and runs change in the evening, and on nights of big events there may be detours: plan the trip the same day with the route planner of Rome's transit company, also checking the night lines for the ride back.

By car and parking

From the center you arrive along Via Cristoforo Colombo, the axis that connects the city to EUR. On the night of a concert the spots near the square run out early, and at the exit the surrounding streets are blocked for dozens of minutes. If the car is indispensable, leave it a few hundred meters from the hall and do the last stretch on foot: you will get out of the jam before those who parked in front of the entrance.

The ride home

The real problem with concerts in EUR is the ride home. Before leaving the house check on the transit company's website the time of the last metro run for Thursday, and compare it with a late-evening exit. If the margin is tight, organize an alternative: a parent who comes to pick up the kids at an agreed point far from the square, a booked taxi, a shared ride. The taxis in front of the arena at the end of a concert are few and contested.

A curiosity about Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, January 28, 2027

The most interesting curiosity of this evening is about the numbers, and the way they change the nature of a rap concert. According to Live Nation, Tedua has 79 platinum and 39 gold records to his name: the ratio between platinums and golds, almost two to one, says that his songs, once certified, tend to keep growing up to the higher threshold. They are not the hits of a season, they are tracks that stay in headphones for years. For Palazzo dello Sport this means one precise thing: the audience on January 28 will know the old songs by heart too, and the hall's chorus will be part of the show.

Then there is a fit of dates that I find remarkable. The November 2025 press release spoke of 10 years since the first mixtape, Aspettando Orange County. The Ted Ryan Tour arrives a little over a year later, and brings to the stage of an Olympic hall an artist who began with a work self-produced in spirit, distributed the way mixtapes are distributed. In between, an album titled like Dante's poem, seven times platinum, and a first stadium concert.

And finally the title of the tour, which contains the artist's name turned into an American-style first and last name. The promoter gives no explanation of it on the event page, and it would be wrong to invent one. It is worth arriving at the concert with the question open: often it is on stage that an artist tells the meaning of a tour's title.

One thing nobody tells you about Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, January 28, 2027

What almost no one points out is that the Rome date of the Ted Ryan Tour is, in effect, the date for half of Italy. The other four evenings are in Jesolo, Bologna, Turin and Milan: for those who live in Tuscany, the Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily or Sardinia, Rome is the nearest hall, often the only one reachable in a day. This has practical consequences that people who live in Rome underestimate.

The first concerns transport. On Thursday evening Metro line B will carry toward EUR, along with commuters, groups of kids with backpacks and suitcases who have just got off the train at Termini. If you have a suitcase you need to know right away: the rules published by Live Nation forbid bringing suitcases and trolleys into the venue, and backpacks over 15 liters. Arriving with luggage in tow means staying outside, or having to leave it who knows where. The solution is to leave the suitcase at the hotel or in the station's left luggage before taking the metro.

The second concerns the ride home. Many kids from out of town will book a night in Rome, and the choice of lodging matters: sleeping along line B, in EUR or between Piramide and Termini, means walking back or a few minutes of metro. Sleeping on the other side of the city means depending on a night bus or a taxi you cannot find. For those arriving from outside, closeness to line B counts more than any other criterion in choosing a hotel.

The third is banal and decisive: on Friday morning, for those who must head home, the early morning trains from Termini are the most in demand. Book the return together with the concert ticket.

The advice I give you for visiting Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, January 28, 2027

My advice is this: treat the evening as an outing to organize, not as an event to show up at. With the start at 21:00, arrive in EUR with two hours of margin, eat something simple beforehand and get in line calmly. In arenas the most stressful moment is the entrance, when thousands of people concentrate on the same gates in the same minutes: arriving early means finding the line still short, getting through the checks without shoving, having time to find the restrooms before the lines form.

Travel light, and read the rules first. Live Nation publishes a list of prohibited items worth knowing: no backpacks over 15 liters, no plastic bottles over half a liter and in any case without the cap, no spray cans, no professional or semi-professional cameras, no power banks. That last point surprises many kids, used to going around with the external battery in their pocket: charge your phone to 100 percent before leaving, and keep the brightness low while waiting.

For parents: if you are accompanying a minor child but not going in, agree beforehand on a precise meeting point far from the main exit, for example the EUR Fermi metro exit, and a time. At the end of the concert the phone networks around a full arena work badly: an appointment set beforehand is worth more than 10 messages that do not arrive.

For everyone: at the exit do not run toward the metro. Wait 10 minutes, let the crowd flow out, then start walking. In late January it is cold, and a heavy jacket left in the car or at the hotel is a mistake you pay for while waiting on the square.

What you can bring to Tedua's concert: the promoter's rules

Live Nation publishes on its website a set of rules with behavior and safety norms for access to its concert venues, and it is worth reading it before Tedua's evening: having a ticket and respecting the rules are the conditions for entering and staying in the hall. At the entrance there are checks by staff, with police supervision and also with metal detectors.

Bags, backpacks and luggage

The rules forbid suitcases and trolleys, large bags and backpacks: the maximum allowed capacity is 15 liters, that is, a small day backpack. Strollers and infant car seats, chairs and stools, tents and sleeping bags, bicycles, skateboards and skates are also forbidden. The upshot: you go in with a small bag or a little backpack, and nothing else.

Drinks and bottles

You cannot bring in alcoholic drinks, cans, glass bottles, metal water bottles and plastic bottles larger than half a liter. Only plastic bottles up to 0.5 liters, without the cap, are allowed. It is a detail worth knowing beforehand: the metal water bottle that many kids bring to school has to stay home.

Electronics and photography

The rules forbid audio and video recording equipment, professional and semi-professional cameras, camcorders and action cams, tablets, laptops and power banks, as well as selfie sticks, tripods, laser pointers and drones. The phone remains the tool for photos. Everything else stays outside.

Other prohibitions

Among the prohibited items are also spray cans of any kind, including deodorant, stadium horns, umbrellas and poles, musical instruments, chains and animals of any size. An umbrella, in late January, may seem indispensable: better a jacket with a hood.

Another well-known fact, yet rarely mentioned

It is a known fact, but rarely recalled when talking about concerts: Palazzo dello Sport in EUR is an Olympic building, designed by Pier Luigi Nervi with Marcello Piacentini for the Rome Olympics of 1960. Its scale, its paths, its position answer a precise need: to welcome large crowds, get them in and out fast, connect them to the city. When Tedua's audience fills the hall, it will use a building conceived almost 70 years ago for the audience of an Olympics.

The other fact that is taken for granted is that the district around was born for yet another occasion. EUR takes its name from the Universal Exposition planned for 1942, which never took place because of the war. The district was completed in the postwar period, and the 1960 Olympics gave it a new reason to exist: sports facilities, roads, connections. Palazzo dello Sport is the most visible sign of that second life.

Finally there is a detail of place names that few notice. The square on which the hall faces carries the name of Pier Luigi Nervi, the designer. The metro stop carries the name of the building. Few places in the city declare their identity so clearly. It is worth noticing: you arrive at a rap concert, but you walk inside a page of twentieth-century Italian architectural history, and all you have to do is look up at the roof to realize it.

What to see in EUR around Palazzo dello Sport

Palazzo dello Sport is one of the many remarkable buildings in EUR, the district born for the Universal Exposition of 1942 that never took place. If you arrive a few hours early you can take a walk among Rationalist architecture, wide avenues and the little lake. For an overview I refer to the page on what to see in EUR.

The little lake

The EUR lake is a few minutes' walk from the hall and is the natural route for those getting off at EUR Fermi. On a January evening it is not a place to linger, but a walk along the shore before going in is the best way to reach the arena without the crush at the nearest stop.

The Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana

The Square Colosseum, that is, the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, is the symbol building of EUR, with its stacked arches. It is on the other side of the district from the hall: if you have a free afternoon before the concert you can walk to it and come back at leisure.

The Nuvola

The new congress center, Fuksas's Nuvola, is the most recognizable contemporary architecture in the district, and says how much EUR has continued to transform after the years of Nervi and Piacentini.

The basilica and the Tre Fontane

On the high ground of the district is the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, with its dome visible from afar. A little further, toward Laurentina, the Tre Fontane Abbey is a place of silence and ancient history, very far in atmosphere from an evening in an arena. For those who come from out of town and stay in Rome the next day, it is a visit I recommend without reservation.

The right photo to take at Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, January 28, 2027

The right photo of this evening is not taken inside, but outside, before going in. Palazzo dello Sport lit up on a January evening, with Nervi's great roof standing out against the dark sky and the audience gathering on the square, is an image worth more than 100 blurry shots of the stage. Arriving from EUR Fermi, along the path that skirts the little lake, there is a point where the building appears in full: stop there, take the photo, and then get in line.

Inside the hall, the advice is to shoot little. The promoter's rules forbid professional and semi-professional cameras and audio and video recording equipment: you photograph with the phone, and the phone in a dark, crowded arena produces mediocre images. The best photo, if you really want one, is the one of the hall filling up, before the start: from the stands, with the floor full and the lights still on, you get the idea of the size of the event. During the concert, instead, the phone held up blocks the view of the people behind you.

The suggestion is this: one photo outside, one of the hall before the start, and then the phone in your pocket. Tedua's concert lasts one evening, and living it behind a screen means missing it. Save your battery, which you will need for the ride home, and remember that power banks are not allowed. And never post a photo of your ticket on social media before the concert: the code is what gets you in, and an image is enough to copy it.

Accessibility, minors and families at Tedua's concert

For people with disabilities who want to attend Tedua's concert at Palazzo dello Sport, Live Nation gives on the event page the address diversamenteabili@the-base.it, to be contacted for information on access. It is best to write well in advance, because the dedicated seats are limited in number.

People with disabilities

The practical advice is to write to the address given before buying tickets, specifying your needs and those of any companion. For those arriving by metro, it is best to check in advance on the transit company's website the status of the elevators in the line B stations concerned, EUR Palasport and EUR Fermi, both for the trip there and the trip back.

Minors

The audience at a rap concert is young, and many kids will go without parents. The age access conditions are those set by the organizer and the sales circuit, and should be read before buying. The advice to parents is not to treat the evening as an ordinary outing: a Thursday evening, a late-night ride home, school the next day. Everything can be organized, as long as it is done beforehand.

With children

The promoter's rules forbid strollers and infant car seats, and this already says a lot. A rap concert in an arena, with loud volume and a standing floor, is not designed for small children. For accompanied kids between 10 and 14, the stands are the only sensible choice, with earplugs and a precise reference point in case you get lost.

Some important events that took place here in history

The first event, the one for which the building exists, is the Rome Olympics of 1960. Palazzo dello Sport was designed by Pier Luigi Nervi with Marcello Piacentini precisely for those Games, and its construction is part of the great intervention that turned EUR from an unfinished district of the 1942 Exposition into a living piece of the city. Anyone who enters the hall for a concert enters a building born for Olympic sport, and in part can still tell from its size and shape.

The second thread is live music, which has made Palazzo dello Sport one of the places of the big Rome concerts. The archive of Bob Dylan's concerts records his Rome evenings at Palaeur in June 1984 and on October 3, 1987, and then again on November 12, 2011, when the hall was called PalaLottomatica. Three names for the same building in less than 30 years, and a thread that reaches to today: on November 5, 2026 Dylan returns to the same hall, as the page on Bob Dylan's concert at Palazzo dello Sport tells.

The third event is less spectacular but says a lot: the change of names. From Palazzo dello Sport to Palaeur in common use, then PalaLottomatica, then Palazzo dello Sport again. Each name corresponds to an era of the hall and of the way Rome lived it: the Olympic arena, the concert palace of the 1980s, the hall with the sponsor's name, and today again the building with its original name.

The fourth, for those who follow Italian rap, is the season that opens in autumn 2026 and continues into winter 2027: in a few months the hall hosts the concerts of several of the country's most followed rappers. Tedua's evening is part of this sequence, and is one of its central moments.

Who has played at Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, January 28, 2027

Before Tedua, many of the names that made the history of live music in Rome have passed through Palazzo dello Sport. The most illustrious, among those documented in the archives, is Bob Dylan: his Rome dates at Palaeur in June 1984 and on October 3, 1987, and the evening at PalaLottomatica on November 12, 2011, are recorded in the official archive of his concerts. That the same hall hosts a Nobel laureate in literature and a rapper who titled an album after the Divine Comedy is a coincidence I find happy.

The season in which Tedua's concert falls is particularly rich, and shows how central the hall is today to Italian music. In autumn 2026 Pooh played at Palazzo dello Sport on October 15 and Raf on October 17. Kid Yugi brought his first arena tour with two evenings in October. In December come Irama, Il Volo and Anna. After Tedua, in February and March 2027, it will be the turn of Sfera Ebbasta, and in the same season the hall also hosts the musical Notre Dame de Paris.

The sequence says one precise thing: Italian rap has conquered the arenas, and in Rome Palazzo dello Sport is its winter home. Author pop, historic singer-songwriters, musicals and rap alternate on the same stage within a few weeks, in front of very different audiences. For those going to Tedua's concert, knowing you sit in the same hall where Dylan performed and, a few weeks earlier, the colleagues of his generation, adds a layer of meaning to the evening. In our opinion few halls in Italy have so long and so varied a history, and the young audience discovers it with pleasure.

Late January in Rome: the period of Tedua's concert

Tedua's concert falls in late January, one of the quietest periods of the year in Rome: the holidays are over, spring is far off, the city is less crowded with tourists and hotel prices are generally lower than in peak months. For those coming from out of town who want to stay an extra day, it is a good time to visit the city.

The weather

Late January in Rome means days often clear and cool, cold evenings, a chance of rain. On leaving an arena, after hours in a warm, crowded hall, you feel the cold of the square. A real jacket, not a sweatshirt, and maybe a hat: the advice seems obvious, and every winter I see kids shivering in line for the metro.

A day in Rome before the concert

For those who arrive in the morning, line B offers a convenient route: the Colosseum and Circus Maximus are on the same line as the hall, and on a January day you visit them with fewer lines than in spring. In the afternoon you head down to EUR, leave any luggage at the hotel, have an early dinner and go to the concert. It is the program I would suggest to a group of kids on a trip, and it works.

The next day

Friday, January 29, for those who stay, is a weekday with museums open and the city back to normal. Those with time can finish the visit to EUR at leisure, or choose one of the places in the center. Those who must go home, I repeat, should book the return train in time.

How to plan the evening of Tedua's concert in EUR

An evening at Tedua's concert at Palazzo dello Sport is organized in three beats: arrival in EUR with two hours of margin before the 21:00 start, entry without hurry after the gates open, return planned before leaving the house. The rest is detail, but details make the difference between an evening remembered and an evening endured.

A schedule for the evening

The recommended plan: arrive by metro around 19:00, something to eat nearby, entry as soon as possible. You find your sector without anxiety, go to the restrooms before the crush, buy any merchandise before lines form, and watch the hall fill up. In an arena, the last half hour before the start is a show of its own.

What to bring

Little and well chosen: ID, ticket on the phone or printed, phone charged to the maximum, a warm jacket, possibly a half-liter plastic bottle without the cap. Earplugs, especially for the youngest. No power banks, no metal water bottles, no big backpacks, no umbrellas: all forbidden by the promoter's rules.

Where to eat

Around EUR you find bars, pizzerias, fast-food places, trattorias and restaurants at every price level, concentrated mostly along the district's main avenues and near the metro stations. For a concert night I recommend an early, simple dinner, a pizza or a one-dish meal. If you are in a group, book. After the concert many kitchens are already closed: do not count on a late dinner in the area.

Where to sleep, for those coming from out of town

The criterion I give everyone is only one: near line B. EUR itself has several hotels, often designed for convention tourism and therefore with good availability on weekdays. The axis between Piramide, Colosseo and Termini offers the widest choice. In both cases the ride back from the concert is simple, and the next day you are already on the right line for the station.

The final advice on Tedua at Palazzo dello Sport

If I had to give a single piece of advice for Tedua's concert on January 28, 2027, it would be this: organize the ride home before the ride there. The evening at Palazzo dello Sport is easy to reach, with line B direct from Termini, and complicated to leave, like any concert in a full arena on a winter Thursday night. If you come from out of town, book train and lodging near the metro in time. If you are from Rome, set the meeting point and the time of the last run beforehand. Then travel light, respect the rules, keep your phone in your pocket for much of the evening, and enjoy a rap concert in one of Nervi's Olympic halls. The best evenings are always the ones where you do not see the organization.
