Festival del Gusto in Albano Laziale, November 6 to 8, 2026

From Friday, November 6, to Sunday, November 8, 2026, Albano Laziale hosts the first edition of the Festival del Gusto, in the pedestrian area of Viale Scalchi and Via Risorgimento, in front of Museo Civico «Mario Antonacci» (Viale Risorgimento 3, 00041 Albano Laziale, RM). Admission is free, the tastings are free and no reservation is needed. The festival is promoted by the Municipality with Regione Lazio and ARSIAL.

The event

The Festival del Gusto makes its debut in Albano with a simple formula: three consecutive evenings, an area closed to traffic and twelve stations, called Isole del Gusto, where tasting is free. The islands are organized by course, from appetizers to desserts by way of first and second courses, and each dish comes in three versions: traditional, innovative and vegetarian or vegan. The common thread is the produce of the Castelli Romani area and of Lazio.

The official list of the stars in the kitchen is a small atlas of protected designations: Porchetta di Ariccia IGP, Genzano and Lariano IGP bread, Broccolo Capoccione, Kiwi Latina IGP, Nocciola Romana DOP, Pecorino Romano DOP, Onano IGP lentils and the DOC and DOCG wines of the Castelli Romani.

The typical evening follows a fixed script, the same on all three nights. First the stands open and the tastings begin, then a first set of live music. Midway through the evening it is the turn of the cooking show by students and teachers of the I.P.S.S.A.R. «Tognazzi» of Velletri, with guests including Sandro Pulcini of Romanella. After the second set of live music comes the closing DJ set and, after that, the stands close.

The festival occupies the pedestrian space that opens in front of the Museo Civico, at Viale Risorgimento 3. The museum is housed in Villa Ferrajoli, built by the Ferrajoli family starting in 1845 over an earlier casino; the central building, neoclassical and facing the Appia, is the one that holds the collections, and the museum carries the name of Mario Antonacci.

Albano Laziale is a town in the Colli Albani, in the province of Rome, and its main square, Piazza San Paolo, lies in front of Palazzo Savelli.
