The official description

For three afternoons the work in progress on the new production leaves the rehearsals and shows itself in the state it is in.

Text from the official Cultura Roma Capitale page, source

The opening is part of Tramonto Occidentale, an INDEX project running from October 19 to November 19, 2026 between Municipio VI and Municipio IV. The title evokes the hour when day and night touch, and it works on the passing of time, on the ghosts of the present and on the effort of living in a changing world.

Direction and sets are by Claudia Sorace, dramaturgy by Riccardo Fazi, and the performers are Iaia Forte, Massimo Verdastro and Giovanni Onorato. The creative residency runs from November 2 to 6, with public openings on the 4th, 5th and 6th.

The organizers explain that the rehearsal room, usually closed, gradually opens to the public: what is presented is not a finished work, but the moment in which a work is born is made visible. The questions at the center of the production concern a world that changes faster than we can keep up with and what remains of what we have been.

Where it takes place: Teatro della Visitazione

Muta Imago is a research theater company based in Rome, led by Claudia Sorace and Riccardo Fazi. Teatro della Visitazione, in Municipio IV, is the venue named by the organizers for the residency and the public openings.

In the same municipio you'll find other events of the season, such as Madri costituenti at Casa del Municipio IV and the series Le parole del vero at Vaccheria Nardi.
