The story starts with a little girl who is afraid of the dark. Her worried parents make up a fairy tale to help her fall asleep, and together they build a world of shadows, sounds and colors. The hero of the tale is Timmi, a little rabbit so fearful that he's scared of his own shadow, who has to face his biggest nightmares, Toporagno and Sedanorapa.
On his journey Timmi meets other characters, including Toni the mole, a blind guide, Gedeone, a lion who escaped from the circus, and his friend Selli. It's a journey full of surprises, from which emerge the desire to overcome one's limits and the discovery that, in the end, you can only find yourself by getting lost. The show also inspired the book «Toporagno e Sedanorapa».
Direction and text are by Cristiano Petretto. On stage are Viviana Mancini, Agnese Desideri and Roberto Tufo, with technical work by Luca Staiano, original music by Enrico Venturini and sets by Simone Perra. It's a 2023 coproduction by Affabulazione ETS and Teatro Verde.
Its awards include the 2015 Premio Maria Signorelli for theater in Rome and the 2009 Titania youth theater festival in San Marino. At the 2009 Ribalta national festival in Aprilia the show received the awards for best set design and best show. The event is organized by Associazione Affabulazione ETS and supported by the Ministry of Culture, as a winner of Roma Capitale's «Lo spettacolo dal vivo fuori dal Centro 2026» call.
Where it takes place: Teatro del Lido di Ostia
