«Brotti» lines up seven broken, isolated characters, each locked in the circle of their own pain. The title merges two Italian words, «brutti» (ugly) and «rotti» (broken), and the figures tell their stories with a tragicomic taste, like grotesque, timeless masks.

According to the official presentation, the themes are toxic love, loneliness, prejudice and violence, treated in the register of tragicomedy. The subtitle, «E tu non ridere che sei come loro!» (“And don't you laugh, because you are just like them!”), suggests that we are all a little battered by adversity, accidents and wrong feelings.

The text is by Manuela Zero and Davide Santi, the direction is by Davide Santi and Manuela Zero is on stage. There are two performances, on November 26 and 27.
