Text from the official Cultura Roma Capitale page (service translation: “December 2-3-4, 2026, 9 p.m., Teatro della Visitazione. Final show of the training workshop devoted to Ylajali (Fame), an unpublished text by the Norwegian writer Jon Fosse, Nobel Prize in Literature 2023, presented for the first time in Italy.”), source
The show is the outcome of the training workshop devoted to «Ylajali (Fame)». At the center of the work is the theme of hunger, which goes from a primary need to a metaphysical and universal dimension.
The official presentation points to an intense, dreamlike and poetic reflection on marginality and deprivation, which also leaves room for the possibility of human solidarity and of meeting the other.
On stage are Andrea Tidona and two young actors under 35, selected through the workshop. There are three evenings, on December 2, 3 and 4.
The production is curated by the cultural association ZERKALO. Among the supporters is the Ministry of Culture, through the Direzione Generale Spettacolo, and the work is among the winners of the Roma Capitale notice «Lo spettacolo dal vivo fuori dal Centro, anno 2026», with SIAE as partner. As with all events of this kind, the program may change.
The Teatro della Visitazione is at Via dei Crispolti 142, in Municipio IV of Rome. At the same venue, from November 4 to 6, the residency told in Tramonto Occidentale by Muta Imago is on the program.
Villa Ipazia is in the same municipality, and on November 29 it hosts Madri Costituenti.
Admission is free, as the official page states.
