«Ylajali» is the final show of the training workshop dedicated to «Ylajali (Fame)», an unpublished work by the Norwegian writer Jon Fosse, Nobel Prize in Literature 2023. On stage are Andrea Tidona and two young actors under 35 selected by the workshop.
At the center of the work is hunger, which goes from a primary need to a metaphysical and universal dimension. The reflection is intense, dreamlike and poetic. It speaks of marginality and deprivation, but also of the possibility of human solidarity and of meeting the other.
The initiative is by ZERKALO, a cultural association. The show is also performed at the Teatro della Visitazione on December 2, 3 and 4, as described in the page on Ylajali (Fame) at the Visitazione.
The project is made with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Direzione Generale Spettacolo, and is a winner of the public call «Lo spettacolo dal vivo fuori dal Centro 2026» promoted by Roma Capitale, Culture Department, together with the initiatives for the Giornata della Memoria, in collaboration with SIAE.
