Where it takes place: Nuovo Teatro Orione

Nuovo Teatro Orione was born in the early 1950s and over time has remained a multipurpose venue: opera and operetta in its first period, then cinema, film and television set, and finally a new artistic direction open to every form of performance.

The theater has 980 seats: 548 in the orchestra and 428 in the gallery. A description of the venue is in the Nuovo Teatro Orione page.

For the same period the website also lists Michele Mezzanotte (April 20, 2027) and Il più grande tributo a Mina.

The website stresses the technical side of the hall: a Funktion One sound system shaped to the room and a high-end lighting system. Besides the shows, the theater rents out its spaces and runs theater courses.

The current artistic direction says it wants a program that welcomes every kind of show and gives space to new work. The Re di Roma stop of Metro A is given as a few minutes' walk away.

In the nearby weeks the website also lists Michele Mezzanotte, scheduled for April 20, 2027.

The theater's history page recalls that in the 1980s the hall hosted rehearsals of productions by Gigi Proietti and Ugo Tognazzi, while in the 1990s it became home to television productions.
