Who was Roald Dahl, one of the most famous children's writers of all time? First of all, he was a child himself, then a pilot, a soldier, an adventurer, a photographer, an explorer… someone who never stopped marveling at life.
When he was bored or felt lonely, all he had to do was call them and here they came: giants, witches, crocodiles, very cunning foxes, eccentric factory owners and huge glass elevators.
Between terrifying schools, magic cameras, air battles and deserts, Roald learned a secret: there's nothing you can't do in life as long as you have a notebook, a pen and a bar of chocolate in your pocket.
Recommended age: 6 to 11
