The event

«Strappo alla regola» stages a meeting between theater and cinema, with a tight comic rhythm. The story takes place in a movie theater: Orietta, a minor character in a horror film, escapes her killer by passing through a tear in the screen and finds herself in the empty cinema.

There she meets Moira, the theater's usher, who fears losing her job and would like to send her back into the film. Orietta, however, has decided to change her own fate and ends up helping Moira, who is in a toxic relationship, find a way out.

The two leads are Maria Amelia Monti and Cristina Chinaglia. The cast also includes Daniele Gaggianesi, Giuseppe Lelli, Francesco Meoni, Sabina Vannucchi and Fabio Zulli, while Asia Argento, Marina Massironi and Sebastiano Somma appear on video. The music is by Massimiliano Gagliardi, the sets by Luigi Ferrigno and Sara Palmieri, the costumes by Grazia Materia, the cinematography by Tani Canevari, the video production by Davide Di Nardo and the lighting by David Barittoni. The show is produced by Gli Ipocriti Melina Balsamo and is in Italian.
