The event
Emma Dante writes and directs this show starting from Luigi Pirandello. The setting is an empty stage where the director and her company rehearse while the audience watches: during the rehearsal the six characters of Pirandello's drama come to life, the Father, the Mother, the Stepdaughter, the Son, the Young Boy and the Little Girl, and the actors take on their roles before the audience's eyes.
Five organizations contribute to the production: Sud Costa Occidentale/Carnezzeria, Piccolo Teatro di Milano, Teatro d'Europa, Teatro di Roma, Teatro Nazionale, Teatro di Napoli, Teatro Nazionale and ERT Emilia Romagna Teatro, Teatro Nazionale. The program may change.

In 1817 this horseshoe-shaped hall hosted the debut of Rossini's «Cenerentola». The theater, at number 21 of the street of the same name, belongs to the Fondazione Teatro di Roma and is now called Teatro Valle Franca Valeri.
