Raymonda: Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, October 6 to 13, 2027

«Raymonda», a ballet to music by Aleksandr Glazunov, is at Teatro Costanzi, Piazza Beniamino Gigli 7, from October 6 to 13, 2027, in eight performances. Tickets start at 15 euros.

The event

The new Teatro dell'Opera di Roma production is based on Marius Petipa's original choreography as reconstructed by Jean-Guillaume Bart, a former étoile of the Paris Opéra. Nicolas André makes his podium debut; students of the Opera di Roma Dance School take part.

Sets are by Bruno de Lavenère, costumes by Anna Biagiotti, lighting by François Menou. The lead dancers are not named.

There are eight performances: Wednesday the 6th (from 20 euros), Thursday the 7th, Friday the 8th, Saturday the 9th (two performances), Sunday the 10th, Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday, October 13, 2027 (from 15 euros).

Where it takes place: Teatro Costanzi

In 1926 the City of Rome bought the Costanzi and Marcello Piacentini renovated it; the second inauguration was on February 27, 1928 with Boito's «Nerone». In 1946 the theater took the name Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The hall's dome is frescoed by Annibale Brugnoli.
