QUALCUNO NESSUNO CENTOMILA, Pirandello in loop
part of the series A Roma, a Roma! 2026
directed by Mario Perrotta
with Paola Roscioli, Dalila Cozzolino
dramaturgy Mario Perrotta
in collaboration with Dalila Cozzolino
produced by Permar Compagnia Mario PerrottaThe show is born from a deep, long-standing and never interrupted relationship between Mario Perrotta and the work of Luigi Pirandello. A bond rooted in Perrotta's philosophical training and in his own stage debut, which over the years has turned into a living, necessary dialogue, able to renew itself at every encounter with the present.
Qualcuno nessuno centomila is a new stage on this path: a theatrical investigation of the theme of identity, which starts from Pirandello's "psychoanalytic" intuitions to cross our own time.
At its center, the multiplicity of masks each of us wears in order to exist, a reflection that, while it was revolutionary in the 20th century, today finds an even more powerful resonance in the digital age. Social media endlessly amplify this game of disguises, generating a continuous loop of self-representations and turning the internet into a free zone where it is possible to be, at the same time, someone, no one, 100,000.

Mario Perrotta returns to Pirandello, an author who has accompanied his path since his philosophical training and his stage debut. The title recalls the novel "Uno, nessuno e centomila," and the show presents itself as an investigation into identity and masks, reread in the light of social networks, where the self-image multiplies in a continuous loop. The two performers, Paola Roscioli and Dalila Cozzolino, were finalists at the Premi Ubu for best actress for two other works by the company, "Lireta" and "Dei figli."
The venue is a place tied to the history of cinema: the studios inside the Istituto Cine-Tv Roberto Rossellini where the director made his films. Given back to the city by the Lazio Region, with ATCL contributing to the new use of the spaces, Spazio Rossellini is today a multidisciplinary hub hosting theater, dance, music, podcasts and residencies for companies. The same fall program also includes Cantiere Forugh.
