The event

PRNCPTL arrives in Rome for the first time, as a guest of Muccassassina. The project was born in Berlin under the name Pornceptual and is a queer art and nightlife initiative exploring sexuality, gender and identity through photography, visual art and electronic music. Sexuality is treated as something that can be artistic, diverse and lived on one's own terms.

The parties bring this idea into a shared space, where people are invited to move beyond everyday expectations of how to look, dress or behave. Electronic music is central, together with the creativity of the people on the dance floor; taking part never means having to reveal your body or interact with anyone. From Berlin to many other cities, PRNCPTL has built an international community with queer expression and respect for individual boundaries at its core.

The dress code is part of the experience: leather, latex, PVC, mesh, harnesses, uniforms, costumes and creative looks, including handmade ones, are named as starting points. Jeans, plain T-shirts, ordinary streetwear and everyday sportswear do not fit the dress code, and all black alone does not make a complete look. The rules on consent and respect are explicit: clothing, nudity and self-expression are never consent, people ask before touching, a no is accepted without question, and racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, body shaming and harassment have no place at the night.

Where it takes place: Qube

Qube is a large nightclub in eastern Rome, at Via di Portonaccio 212, in the area between Casal Bertone and the Tiburtina rail yard. It spreads across several rooms and floors and hosts the main season of Muccassassina, the queer night run by the Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli, which began in 1990 and normally runs on Fridays from mid-October to June.
