«Un testo intimo e inedito.»

The absolute protagonist of «Manca solo Mozart» is Marco Simeoli, who brings to the stage the story of those who created «Musica Simeoli», the family store that was a landmark for the city’s musical activities. The play is born from a true story very close to the actor, entrusted to Antonio Grosso, author of the dramaturgy and director.
The story also embraces the stories of the people who visited the store. Among the names cited in the official presentation are Matilde Serao, Riccardo Muti as a conservatory student, Roberto Murolo, Renato Carosone, Enzo Avitabile and Pino Daniele.
The starting point is a concrete object: papers, documents, scores and notes found in disorder in a store that seems abandoned and suspended in time. From those materials the story retraces the history of the country, from the Belle Époque, with carriages on the seafront, to the dark years of World War II, up to the rebirth and the economic boom of the 1960s.
There are two performances, on December 15 and 16, 2026. «Manca solo Mozart» is part of the season «Teatro Arena Domma, In scena al X», from August 1 to December 18, 2026, a winner of the call «Lo spettacolo dal vivo fuori dal Centro 2026» of Roma Capitale.
Arena Teatro Domma is at Via di Macchia Saponara 106, in Municipio X. The official page lists it as accessible and sets the maximum audience at 350.
The same stage hosts other titles of the season: the opera soirée A nozze con Figaro, on December 5 and 6, and the show Brotti, on November 26 and 27. Among the venue’s proposals there is also Flora Canto.
Full price is 5 euros and reduced is 3 euros, for under 18, over 65 and students. Free admission is available for people with disabilities and companions, schools of the project and partner organizations.
