The event
The holiday cult film becomes a cine-concert. More than 110 musicians and choristers of the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, conducted by Adrián Ronda Sampayo, perform John Williams's score in sync with the full screening of the film. The version is in Italian with English subtitles.
The Auditorium's program presents it as one of the events of Christmas at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, on December 29 only, with two performances as a national exclusive. The format is that of a film in concert: the screen shows the story from beginning to end while the orchestra and chorus play every piece of the score live.
Sala Santa Cecilia is the Auditorium's largest hall, with 2,744 seats. The organizer is the Fondazione Musica per Roma.
Where it takes place: Sala Santa Cecilia
The hall belongs to the complex described in the Auditorium Parco della Musica entry; for its neighborhood there is the Flaminio guide. Another cine-concert scheduled in the same complex is Blade Runner.
