«uno spettacolo di magia su ruote… letteralmente!»
Text from the official Romaeuropa Festival 2026 page (service translation: “a magic show on wheels… literally!”), source
The theater is a trailer, a small and intimate space designed to be taken outside conventional venues too. Inside, «Maginarium» opens an imaginary world of magic, mystery and illusion, with a good dose of humor, live music and surreal touches. The festival presentation places it in the «kids + family» section, among the proposals for children and families.
The author and performer is Pau Segalés, an international artist and performer who, according to his biography on the festival site, discovered magic at the age of five thanks to his father and has performed continuously since his teens. On stage with him, in the credits, are Àlex Sariol and Sergi Morral. The set is by Òscar Luna, Manuel Orti «Rabassa» and Joanma Gómez, with sound by Roger López and lights by Eloi Pla.
«Maginarium» does not run every day. The official calendar lists nine days: Friday October 30, Saturday October 31 and Sunday November 1, then Friday November 6, Saturday November 7 and Sunday November 8, then Friday November 13, Saturday November 14 and Sunday November 15. There are no shows from Monday to Thursday. The times of each show are published on the festival page and may change, so check them before you go.
The Mattatoio is the former slaughterhouse of the Testaccio neighborhood, designed from 1888 by the architect Gioacchino Ersoch and in operation until 1975. After a restoration between 2006 and 2010 the complex took on a new life and is now a cultural hub. Since 2018 it has been run by the Azienda Speciale Palaexpo.
In the same edition of the festival the venue also hosts other titles. See the pages on BATU and Copiar, or the general presentation of Romaeuropa Festival 2026.
