The event
The show marks the centenary of Dario Fo’s birth. It is a tragicomic farce inspired by the death of the anarchist Giuseppe Pinelli, who fell in 1969 from the fourth floor of the Milan police headquarters during questioning about the Piazza Fontana bombing. Through satire and comic disguise it exposes the lies of a corrupt authority; at its center is a «Matto», a modern jester.
Direction is by Giorgio Gallione. The cast includes Lodo Guenzi, Matteo Gatta, Eleonora Giovanardi, Alessandro Federico, Marco Ripoldi and Roberto Rustioni; sets by Guido Fiorato, lighting by Andrea Violato, costumes by Francesca Marsella. It is a production by Infinito with Nidodiragno/CMC produzioni, co-produced with Teatro Carcano and Fondazione Sipario Toscana.
