Updated November 6, 2026.
The show takes its cue from the story of Adou, an eight-year-old boy from Ivory Coast who in 2015 was found hidden in a suitcase while trying to reach his father in Spain. In the stage version Adou meets Oudà, a genie of the road, who tells him African fables to help him face his fear.
The themes are travel, hope, courage and family reunion.
Teatro Ciak occupies the former Teatro Cassio, built in the 1950s for variety shows and later the main cinema in the Cassia area. After its restoration it has a 400-seat hall and a large bistro. Its artistic director is Mariano Rigillo, and the program includes productions by Teatro Stabile del Giallo, such as Arsenico e vecchi merletti, comedies, classics and school matinees. For other shows for children and families in the city, there is Miloemaya at Mattatoio.
