A JOURNEY THROUGH THE UNIVERSE OF DANCE, LIGHT AND TECHNOLOGY
COSMOS is an immersive theatrical experience that fuses dance, illusionism and advanced technology to carry the audience into a world of light and movement.
Dynamic choreography, cutting-edge visual effects for a sensory narrative that goes beyond reality. Thanks to optical fibers, UV lights, lasers and three-dimensional projections, COSMOS brings to life a journey through unknown worlds, where science and imagination merge.
Text from the event presentation linked on the official Teatro Italia website, source
Teatro Italia is a building from 1930, in Liberty and Déco style, in the Nomentano neighborhood. The website links it to the Dopolavoro Ferroviario and puts its programming front and center, which pairs classical tradition and the avant-garde. For a show of lights and projections the hall matters: 800 seats in all, with stalls and two balconies, plus two smaller multipurpose rooms used for meetings and lessons. The season's schedule also includes the musical Babbo Natale, scheduled for December.
The theater presents it as a hypnotic journey through space that combines dance, acrobatics and illusionism. The official text speaks of optical fibers, UV lights, lasers and three-dimensional projections.
According to the theater's page, the company was founded in 2009 by Anthony Heinl and Nadessja Casavecchia.
The page describes a path among glowing planets, hypnotic creatures and interactive sets, which leads the audience to rediscover the fragility of our planet.
The theater's website lists neither. The details can be found during the online purchase or by writing to the official contacts.
Turismo Roma reports that Teatro Italia has wheelchair access, a bar and air conditioning. For specific needs, it's best to contact the theater before the evening.
