The talk is organized with Prima effe Feltrinelli per la scuola and curated by Fondazione RomaEuropa, as part of Romaeuropa Festival 2026. It brings literature and cinema together to reflect on how technology changes the way we tell and imagine the human being.
The guests are Alessandro Aresu, an expert in the geopolitics of innovation and author of the book «Non è intelligente ma si applica» (Feltrinelli), and Gabriele Niola, a journalist and film critic, author of «Fare film è un inferno» (UTET). With the audience and some classes from the Liceo Cine TV Rossellini, the two explore the imagery of science fiction and today's challenges.
The evening previews the Blade Runner Cine-concert on November 8 at Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone: the film on the big screen, with Vangelis's famous score performed live. If you want to complete the experience, the details are on the Blade Runner Cine-concert page.
The venue is a bookstore of the Feltrinelli chain, at Via Appia Nuova 427 in Rome. The talk takes Romaeuropa Festival out of the theaters, into a space open to the city.
The festival also brings shows to the Mattatoio, for example Il salto di Nureyev, and to the Auditorium. The full picture is on the Romaeuropa Festival 2026 page.
