Anghingò is a creation by Patrizia Cavola and Ivan Truol, artistic directors of Compagnia Atacama. The work is inspired by the book «Amblimblè - Rime e riti dei giochi di strada» by Piero Dorfles and turns street games, counting-out rhymes and nursery rhymes into a choreographic score.
The theme is the transformation of relationships among younger generations in the age of digital devices: what is left of play when the encounter with the other is missing? The show brings the body, the voice and the collective dimension back to the center, with rules to agree on, respect and test, and with irony, ritual and rhythm. On stage are Isabella Campiglia, Francesco Vitale Farris, Iris Morello, Nunzia Prisco and Henry Tanzini; words and rhymes enter the score together with movement.
Teatro di Villa Lazzaroni is at Via Appia Nuova 522, in Rome. The theater already has a page for Poems of Exile by Bertolt Brecht; among the neighborhoods southeast of the center, one has its own page: Quadraro.
